The doctor was professional, Berliet told ABCNews.com, but after the physical exam, his “pushy” colleague, left alone with Berliet to answer her questions, was “an incredible enthusiast.
“She essentially told me my boyfriend would propose to me after the surgery was done,” said Berliet. “If women are at all insecure and go for a consultation, it makes you feel more vulnerable and insecure. the vagina on the charts looked like a porn star.”

I am not sure if her husband “Special FBI Agent Fritz Howard” (Jon Tenney – sigh) will be leaving. Also departing are “Chief Pope” (J.K. Simmons, who does so many TV commercials) and “Sgt. David Gabriel” (Corey Reynolds, who is so good in the series). those who are going to be in the new series, “Major Crimes,” are terrific, too. I love “Lieut. Tao” (Michael Paul Chan), “Lieut. Andy Flynn” (Tony Denison), who will return to the new series as will “Lt. Provenza” (G. W. Bailey). “Lieut. Sanchez” (Raymond Cruz) will be back as will “Capt. Sharon Raydor” (Mary McDonnell). In case you didn’t know, Mary is the lead female actor in the movie, “Dances with Wolves.” I know that Hubby and I will watch the new series and will continue to watch the reruns of “The Closer.”

***On the day before our 52nd wedding anniversary, a fairly tall box appeared on our front porch. I thought it might be flowers from Hubby’s brother John and sister-in-law Joe Ann. (Joe was named for her grandfather.) Hubby brought the box into the house and I saw that it was just for me. I began to open it and discovered that it was heavily insulated. Out came a large plastic jar, filled with frozen chicken soup. There was also a card full of “get-well” wishes from my friend Bob Sheridan. I want to thank Bob for the get-well gift. it was such a fun and unique present, and quite the surprise.
***On Sat. afternoon, June 23, Hubby and I attended the Pope’s Hill Association’s Block Party on McKone St. There were not too many people there when we first arrived. my friends Chris and Ralph Whittemore and Judy Burke came in and sat at our table. Judy was carrying a basket, wrapped in yellow cellophane and tied with purple and white ribbons. She set it down before me and said it was for me, from my friends at Pope’s Hill, because of my broken arm. Ordinarily, because I have very little will power, I would tear the cellophane off immediately, but I was trying to be lady-like. I brought the basket home and then opened it. what a treat I was in for! the basket, which had two handles, was a beautifully-woven one with a burlap lining. the largest item was a golden teddy bear sporting a pink sling holding up his left arm. (Judy even had the sling put on the correct arm.) by the way, he is a “Hug Me” bear – and I certainly will do that because he has such nice fur. Also included was one of the “Images of America” paperback books, this one about Jamaica Plain, where both Hubby and I lived as kids. the book was written by Anthony Sammarco. How we will enjoy looking through it. While I am doing that, I will eat one or two of Phillips delicious Sugar-Free Chocolates that were in a one-pound box under the bear. Finally, there was a good-sized bag of hard candy, also from Phillips. I couldn’t help but get better with this lovely get-well basket.

Hubby and I send our sympathy to her husband Edward, to their children Joseph and Maureen, and to her brothers Michael and Joseph.
***On Wed. evening, June 6, Hubby and I attended an Hour of Prayer for Craig Rue at St. Christopher Parish. Craig had been on the list for a kidney and a liver transplant. the transplant surgery could only be performed on Craig if he were in good-enough condition to survive. All the time he was in the hospital, his condition would worsen and then improve. Father George Carrigg invited everyone to participate in this Hour of Prayer. We sang hymns and said prayers for Craig. We ended the hour with Benediction.
Each week, at Mass, Father George would give us an update on Craig’s condition. Most weeks, he was doing a little better. however, on Wed., July 25, Hubby, daughter Sue, and I received a phone call from Sister Elizabeth, from the Notre Dame Montessori School at St. Christopher’s, to tell us that Craig had passed on to God. We had all been rooting for him and were hoping that he would be well enough to qualify for the double transplant.
On Sat. morning, July 28, Hubby, daughter Sue, and I attended Craig’s wake at St. Christopher’s and remained at church for his funeral Mass. (All the funeral arrangements were handled by Joe O’Donnell of the O’Donnell-Mulry Funeral Home on Neponset Ave.) At the Mass, we each received a prayer booklet, with a beautiful photo of Craig on the cover. (We were saddened to read that he was only 53 years old.)
The church was more than half filled when Mass began. During his homily, Father George told us how he met Craig 18 years ago. Carney Hospital had called him to give the last rites to a critically ill patient. it was Craig. the doctors changed his diet and he improved. He came to St. Christopher’s to thank Father George for his blessing. As Craig looked around the church, he said, “The church needs some cleaning.”I can do that!” Right then and there, Craig became the caretaker of St. Christopher’s for the next 18 years. when the church needed to be painted, Craig said, “I can do that!” He painted the inside of the church beige. I was shocked that one person could paint a church and do such a beautiful job. (How he ever was able to get into the very high corners, I will never know.) Craig was also a mainstay at the annual summer barbecue and Father George’s birthday celebration, held every year in August. just before Craig passed away, he had his wife Margarida take down his suggestions on helping with this year’s celebration, which will be held this Sunday, Aug. 7.
Craig was an amazing man. We parishioners send our heartfelt sympathy to Margarida; his children Nicholas, Julia, and Rodrigo; to his mother Murielle; to his sisters Margot and Michelle; and to his brothers Duane, Brandon, and Chris. We will miss him very much.

In his own words, JZ talks on entrpreneurs and as you follow his story weekly, you will understand that he has all these qualifications
What are the attributes of the entrepreneur?
Risk taking, commitment, vision, creativity, imagination. he is an active person who eagerly participates as contrasted to a passive spectator. he must be innovative. if he cannot crawl over an obstacle he must plan to crawl around it. he does what must be done in order to attain an objective.
An entrepreneur must be agile, nimble and conditioned, reacts quickly when opportunities can be developed. To be practically advantageous, an entrepreneur must possess good judgment and must know when and where to compromise, and above all, the entrepreneur must be practical. Paradoxically, an entrepreneur must be a conformist as well as an nonconformist. Charles Dickens opens the Tale of Two Cities as The best of times and the worst of times etc. Dickens was trying to say that life is not characterized by black and white. Life is characterized by patches of black at one extreme and patches of white at the other extreme with lots of grey in between. What seems logical to others may not make sense to the entrepreneur.
Ability to get along with people
An entrepreneur’s character must include empathy, ability to relate to others, and the ability to construct business deals fairly. Driving a hard bargain is based on truth and straight dealing. an entrepreneur must be fair to all parties involved which enhances credibility, satisfaction and, in the long-run, minimizes misunderstanding and disputes.
He must have vision, the ability to see over the hill and must see the big picture. he must concentrate intensely on his goal and must have his eye on the ball. he must not permit himself to be distracted or deterred by any reason.
However, an entrepreneur must be discriminating, selective and have the good judgment to deviate from his course when appropriate. The entrepreneur must know when to quit but, at the same time let nothing deter his vision. Furthermore, when conditions change an entrepreneur must instinctively act”.
JZ learned his lessons early in life while helping his father in the linen store business starting from age 10. he learned from his father the business of life, the business to have a sense of good judgment and the value of the dollar.

The first patient JZ is 81 years old with chronic neck and lower back pain since age 31. he undergoes weekly eToims treatments since 1990.
The second patient Melissa is 19 years old with chronic lower back pain since age 13. she undergoes weekly eToims treatments since 2003. we will discuss her case another day. They relate their own stories about living and coping with chronic pain. you will see how they function and the progress that have been made since undergoing eToims sessions.
In the movie entitled JZ on entrepreneurs (enclosed below and also posted in the blogroll under Wednesdays with JZ movies), before eToims session, JZ has difficulty standing on one leg at a time.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Movie fans, those with too much time on their hands, love to ponder the imponderable.
Why did America flock to see “Ted”? How did Tyler Perry build an empire by donning a dress? what is new about “The Hunger Games,” other than its haven’t-seen-many-movies audience?
And why isn’t Jeffrey Dean Morgan a star?
in an era when Hollywood has all but given up that Leo DiCaprio’s voice will ever change and has cast its net far afield looking for macho leading men – Gerard Butler from Ireland, Jason Statham from the UK, and Russell (Crowe), Joel (Edgerton) and Eric (Bana) from Australia – why isn’t the burly-baritoned Morgan the sleepy-eyed heir to Bruce and Sly?
“Luck,” Morgan, 46, says. “It’s so much to do with luck and timing. Until I get that piece of luck, I will keep plugging away and hope that this next project is “the one.”
The “one,” this time, is “The Possession,” a horror picture built around Jewish mythology’s “Dybbuk Box,” a container able to contain a demon. Until an innocent (in this case a child) lets it out.
Morgan has tried his hand at many genres, but always avoided horror.
“They sent it to me with the caveat, ‘It’s a horror movie.’ I wouldn’t even read it. It sat around for days. But Ole (director Ole Bornedal) sent me this great (butt)-kissing letter, telling me how right I was for this part, referencing other things he’d seen me in, and what I could bring to Clyde. I was so impressed with (his) ability to kiss (butt) that I finally read the script.”
The salty, swarthy Morgan might have broken out had “Watchmen,” which had him playing a rapist-costumed comic book “hero,” been a blockbuster. The graphic novel adaptation “The Losers” actually played like an “Expendables” without the cobwebs, plastic surgery and steroids of the cast. That didn’t blow up, either.
Morgan did not one but two movies set at Woodstock, bombs made by big-name directors (“Taking Woodstock” and “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding”), so maybe it’s a judgment thing – his or his agent’s. Then, there was “The Accidental Husband,” cursed to be left unreleased thanks to a studio that went belly up, and “Shanghai,” a far East period piece with Chow Yun-Fat and John Cusack that was not released in the United States.
go to the movie buff’s website IMDb.com and here are “Possession” enthusiasts, referring to Morgan as “Jeffrey Dean Anderson” by mistake, or saying “I thought that was (Oscar winner) Javier Bardem” in the trailer, a sentiment film critic Carrie Rickey echoes.
“Whenever I see him, I think ‘Javier Bardem,’” Rickey jokes. “Maybe he needs a Spanish accent or marriage to Penelope Cruz?”
well, they do look alike.
But a more likely answer to Morgan’s big-screen low profile is his work on TV. He broke out on “Grey’s Anatomy,” had a long stint on “Supernatural” and is currently star of “Magic City.” Working film roles in between TV seasons is tricky for anybody.
“The best storytellers right now are in TV, cable,” Morgan says. “That’s the world we’re living in now. And indie film and Hollywood just aren’t making as many movies.”
what an actor ends up doing is picking the best script offered that he or she can film in between TV seasons. sometimes, that’s a remake of the high schoolers-battle-commie invaders picture “Red Dawn” (due out later this fall). And sometimes, it’s a horror movie.
“The horror genre is drowning in a sea of horse (excrement),” Morgan says. “It’s all shaky cameras, found footage, crappy acting, no character development. I didn’t see any of those things in this (“Possession”) script – well-formed characters, a place you could do some acting. A family going through a divorce, a child under attack by a demon, all these things I could relate to. That made it more real to me.”
A Seattle native, Morgan, a father of two, found the idea of a child in jeopardy compelling, reminding him of his favorite horror movies – “The Exorcist,” “The Omen.” He was impressed by the children cast in “The Possession.”
“The little girl had to be great. The film would ride on her performance. And Ole Bornedal had auditioned the perfect girl. He sent me a tape of Natasha Calis reading a little off the script, and him prodding her, getting into her head and seeing where she would go. she was chilling. I was in.”
The other thing Morgan is “in” these days is “Magic City,” the drama about the Miami mob in the late 1950s. Morgan says that now that the series has its “first year behind us, introducing the story, a world and characters, we can move things along much faster. Mach speed.”
And after a season of that, he’ll be fishing around for that next potential big break on the big screen.
“There are a lot of weenie American actors, and a lot of foreign actors are having the luck,” Morgan growls. “Not naming names, but it shocks me, some of the people who get the breaks.
“That being said, I’m not going anywhere. I know that my foot is firmly wedged in the door, and I’ll be damned if I pull it out, even for a second.”

1. the Queen Bee On-Demand
It seems like anything with Lil’ Kim attached to it over the past few years has had some negative vibe to it. There’s been some beef (Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Drake) or negative press (taxes, Scott Storch, etc.) but we may finally get to see Kim in a different light. A light so different that we may either sincerely feel sorry for her, understand her state of mind or just enjoy the drama with a bowl of popcorn. All Hip Hop Rumors has the scoop on a potential “Behind the Music” being in the works:
the Notorious K.I.M. is rumored to be in talks with VH1 for a new VH1 “Behind the Music” TV special on her music career. the Queen Bee is said to be revealing everything, and is even said to be talking about her plastic surgery and her relationship with Biggie Smalls. These brand new VH1 “Behind the Music” episodes have been a lot more revealing. Will you be tuning in to see Kim finally open up about her career and plastic surgery? (All Hip Hop Rumors)
Who wouldn’t want to spend an hour and get to see this side of Kim? after all, she did break down over Diddy’s portrayal of her in 2009′s Notorious. could this be her finest moment, telling it all like it really is? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. Brothers & Sisters
One part of Drake’s life that we can’t get enough of is the party side. It’s either him with some lavish woman (see yesterday’s SOHH Whatcha Think) or spending big dollars on fancy things. while all fun, it can get a bit, redundant. Well, Media Take out has a few shots of a lady most of us don’t mind seeing with Drake: his sister.

It’s a bit hard to see, but without a doubt Drake seems like a happy camper with his sister and niece. He’s been spending a lot of time out in Los Angeles over the past year and it’d be interesting to know if it’s for his family or other desirables. regardless, there’s no doubt Drake has love for his family. #SOHHWhatchaThink?
