Everyone likes dimples and it just makes a smile more attractive. Unfortunately a dimple has been proven to be genetic and is thus inherited from parents. it is a dominant trait. the beauty of a dimples is that it is not visible when a person is not smiling but when a person smiles the dent is formed on the cheek.
Dimple maybe present on both the cheeks or even on a single cheek. it is formed when the zygomaticus major muscle is shorter and causes a stretch on the facial skin when you smile. but if you are not blessed with dimples then cosmetic surgery can now provide you with help in creating cheek dimples. but the process can be painful and is not without risks.
Process Of Artificial Cheek Dimple
Dimple surgery is known as dimpleplasty. to create a dimple the surgeon first creates an incision on the inner cheek wall. A suture which will later be absorbed by the skin is then passed and attached to the region where you want the dimple. This artificially simulates a dimple.
Initially there will be a permanent dimple even when you will not be smiling but later you will get the dimple only on smiling. the suture will be absorbed and there will be no scarring on the outside of the cheek but a permanent scarring on the inside. if you have decided to go in for surgery then you would have to follow the subsequent process-
Fix an Appointment With the Plastic Surgeon
Before going in for surgery, be sure to go for a free consultation with the surgeon. He should be able to outline the exact way the procedure will be done, the risks and side effects and should be able to answer all your questions regarding the surgery and calm your fears.
The after care and time needed to recover as well as the cost should be clearly defined by him. Big dimples cannot be done by simple inserting a suture, there will be the need for tissue elimination. In case you need a second opinion feel free to go for that as this is a permanent surgery. In case you are not happy with the dimple you can remove it provided you go for it in the next few days.
Schedule Time away from Your Work
In general doctors would say that the whole procedure just takes 20 minutes and you can get back to work soon after. but it is better to take some time off from work as your facial muscles will still be sore and will need rest to recoup. This will give your suture time to be absorbed as well. if you put stress on the suture, the dimple may not remain permanent.
After Surgery Care
The doctor will most probably prescribe antibiotics for quicker healing and preventing infection. you will also have to use an antiseptic oral cleanser. A liquid diet is best during this period and do refrain from talking too much or laughing aloud. the swelling and pain will go away in a few days if you follow the restrictions.
Please remember that creating cheek dimples is a cosmetic surgery process and requires a trained and certified surgeon so never try to create dimples by piercings or other methods at home. it will only lead to severe infections and as the mouth is the gate to the body the infections might spread to other parts as well.
Koreatown angry over LA’s proposed redistricting plan89.3 KPCC (Southern California Public Radio)
A plan to redraw city council districts in Los Angeles is stirring tension in Koreatown.
Hundreds of Korean-Americans crowded a hearing at the Wilshire Ebell Theater last week expressing anger and dismay that the city’s Citizens Redistricting Commission has proposed splitting Koreatown into two council districts.
“We’ll fight using any means to keep Koreatown whole,” attorney James Beck said.
Beck expressed an oft-heard sentiment – that elected officials tap Koreatown business owners for political donations but refuse to give the area real political power.
“Our community will no longer sit idly and be pimped out like a two-dollar whore,” he said.

The Girls had just pulled off a crowd-pumping rendition of their first U.S. single, “The Boys,” complete with their signature precision choreography, and stood posed and slightly breathless onstage to receive Ripa and her cohost du jour, Howie Mandel. Ripa and Mandel congratulated the girls on their Stateside appearance in full-on talking-to-foreigners mode, speaking loud and slow, and making big, evocative gestures with their hands.
Then Mandel decided to pay the girls a compliment. “Your English is very good!” he said to one member — bubbly, effusive Tiffany. Without missing a beat, Tiffany responded in a perfect NorCal accent, “Well — I was born in America.” “I was too!” chimed Jessica, the brown-haired pixie next to her. Startled, Mandel could only repeat, “And…your English is very good!” the other girls burst into laughter as Tiffany defused the awkward situation: “I know, I know, thank you so much, I studied so hard!”

A new cable TV program giving free plastic surgery to selected participants is raising a lot of eyebrows as many viewers find the show uncomfortable to watch.
The new show, called “Let Me In,” which started airing on Dec. 2, chooses patients out of a pool of thousands of applicants who feel self-conscious about certain body parts or have health issues and offers them plastic surgery at no cost. “Me-in” means a beauty in Korean.
As a result, they are reborn as completely different people, most of them made over not only on the parts they requested to change, but also on other areas of their body.
Two months into airing, the show is already drawing skeptical responses from a number of viewers.
Jeremy Lin scores career high 25 points : Knicks vs NetschannelAPA
New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin stunned both doubters and supporters last night as his team took on the New Jersey Nets. He was the human highlight reel off the bench for the Knicks. With plenty of playing time, instead of garbage minutes, Jeremy Lin showed the crowd at Madison Garden what he’s capable of. With almost 36 minutes on the court, he scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals. Lin led all Knicks players in points including Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler.
Politicians seem to be in a contest for who can create the most xenophobic, inflammatory, anti-China campaign ad. These days, if you’re running for office, the go-to strategy is to make your opponent look like China’s best buddy.
The latest one comes from Michigan Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra, featuring some extra Oriental music and an Asian woman speaking in broken English against a vaguely Asian landscape. It’s some serious racist bullsh-t.
Valerie Ablaza broke a decades-long pattern, with a top ranking in a male-dominated field of medicine.Ablaza is a partner at the Plastic Surgery Group in Montclair. She was inducted as president of the new Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons last month. Ablaza is the second woman to be named president of the group. about 30 years have passed since the first woman held the rank.both of Ablaza’s parents were in the medical field. Her father was a heart surgeon and her mother was a nurse. Instead of pointing to those family ties, Ablaza said it to was her desire to help people and the joy she got from working with her hands that drew her to the medical field. She feels being a surgeon is more of a calling and not something that’s necessarily learned. “You either have the eye for seeing things a certain way and steady hands to do intricate work, or you don’t,” she said.Ablaza spoke to the Star-Ledger about the plastic surgery profession.Q. What do you think accounts for the low number of female plastic surgeons?a. Today there is probably only one female plastic surgeon for every nine males. Over the years, there have been many hypotheses about the small number of women in my field, including that women do not want to help make other women attractive, and also that women are ill-equipped to deal with the stresses of the job. by far I think, the main reason for so few female plastic surgeons is the length of the training to become so super-specialized. For me, it was 13 years after college and I went straight through without any breaks. Now, the majority of the training programs have consolidated general surgery and plastic surgery training to shorten the total time by up to two years.Q. What changes have you noticed in the field since you started?a. much like any other field of medicine, technology helps us to do things more efficiently. Equipment, instruments and even suture materials are better made.with the passage of time, I have noticed many shifts in what consumers are looking for and that pushes our hand in what we do. the trend for the past five years or so has been for minimally invasive or less invasive procedures. Who doesn’t want less pain, less scarring and less down-time?Lasers, Botox, and fillers are what people are asking for now. before people wanted the wind tunnel face lift, now people want to look more natural. Q. Has business at the Plastic Surgery Group been impacted by the economic downturn?a. I think everyone in the specialty has felt some type of economic impact, but I believe it is less than what you would expect. in my personal practice there was maybe one month in 2008 where there was a visible difference in comparison to other years. it may be surprising, but with new reasons to enter or re-enter the job market to supplement the family income, there became a legitimate place for cosmetic surgery in a sagging economy.whether it is politically correct or not, it is widely believed that appearance and youthful looks play a part in getting hired, getting a promotion and getting new clients. Sorry for the title, but this is the first word I thought of when I heard about "Bridalplasty." Don’t know what bridalplasty is eh? well, let me tell you- it’s further contributing to the demise of modern television! Bridalplasty is a new show coming out on the E! network that will help women obtain their hopes of a perfect wedding with the plastic surgery procedure of their choice! YAY!!!! (not really)… this show is APPALING AND DISGRACEFUL. As a recent bride myself, I know the pressures that come with planning a wedding and the scrutiny and questions that come with that day, ranging from…. "who’s doing your makeup?" "Who’s doing your hair?" "where are you getting your dress from?" And even eliciting such reactions such as….. my favorite…"You’re not gonna keep your hair LIKE THAT are you??" and " are you dieting?" Ahhh, all so much fun! and to think with all that pressure and cake tasting- you’d want to go under the knife too? Bridalplasty is a sorry excuse for a show and should be cancelled IMMEDIATELY- we have so many bridal shows anyway- we have the dress shows, the flower shows, the most expensive wedding show, and the you’re so poor and you have such bad taste in being able to plan your own wedding show! who needs to watch and encourage women who probably look perfectly fine (and I bet their future spouses think so too) to compete for the "perfect wedding" face or body or whatever. according to Hollywood Reporter.com, the show’s description includes; "one by one, the women are voted out by their competitors and, according to the show’s description, "possibly walking away with nothing and losing [their] chance to be the perfect bride." <—— if this is not the biggest load of crap I’ve heard… my friends, I don’t know what is! Please do not encourage this fiflth of a show- let us not take a loving, blessed, mindblowing, romantic, beautiful and yet, an already perfect day, and turn it into a contest of who can get the best nose job for ONE day…Let’s stop supporting these media antics to make us feel less than we are. Thanks E!- another GREAT idea!
If you’re having trouble losing some extra weight by only dieting and exercising, Charlottesville doctors say it may be time to think about weight loss surgery
It has been two years since Buckingham County resident Chasity Leighty decided to go through with Bariatric surgery.
“I was 274 pounds and I think it was the pictures-looking at the pictures of my image of myself was definitely not what came out in those pictures. I was a lot bigger girl,” said Leighty.
It wasn’t just the physical appearance that concerned Leighty; she also had a 1-year-old.
“I wasn’t able to get down and play with her and going to stores I was never able to find my size. I just got really depressed,” remembers Leighty.
This realization is what fueled Leighty to go to Martha Jefferson Hospital to find out her options, and whether or not she was eligible for weight loss surgery.
“The ideal candidate is usually at least 100 pounds overweight and they are also suffering comorbidities or other things that are wrong with them because of their weight. These things include: hypertension, sleep apnea, or diabetes,” said Dr. Katherine Trahan, a doctor at the Martha Jefferson Bariatric Care Center.
Dr. Trahan says patients have a few options when it comes to Bariatric surgery. the first option that Martha Jefferson offers is Gastric Bypass which is basically a reconstruction of the stomach to make it smaller and hold less food. another option is Gastric Banding which is putting a plastic girdle around the top of the stomach so you can’t eat as much, and what you do eat keeps you fuller longer. This Gastric Banding is what Leighty opted for.
“About six months of getting my band tightened, I started losing pretty quickly. It was a pound or two a week. I was always stepping on the scales and seeing it get a little bit lower,” said Leighty..Doctors do note that the surgery isn’t a quick fix, saying that once you are a patient, you are a lifetime patient.
“We’re going to work with you every single month,” said Dr. Trahan.
With the surgery, diet, and exercise, Leighty has successfully lost 100 pounds.
“I did the measurements from the beginning and sometimes I thought I hadn’t lost any weight. then I would pull out that tape measure and I really had lost a couple more inches. I was like ‘yes”-this was my key to success: measuring and keeping myself accountable,” said Leighty.
Doctors say weight loss surgery can help with other medical conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, however the surgery does come with risks. they advise that you should talk to your doctor about which option is best for you.
Martha Jefferson is holding an information session for those who may be interested in learning more about Bariatric surgery. the session is Friday may 18 at 1:00p.m. To register for this free event, call Health Connection at 434-654-7009.

The jury hearing testimony in the murder trial of Adam Kaufman, the Florida real estate developer accused of strangling his wife to death in 2007, learned from a doctor who performed the woman’s breast augmentation months before her death that she had cited no potential medical problems, including the congestive heart failure the defense claims killed her.
Eleonora “Lina” Kaufman was found on the bathroom floor of her and her husband’s south Florida home in the early morning of Nov. 7, 2007. The prosecution alleges that the frantic 911 call placed by Adam happened moments after he strangled his wife to death. his defense attorneys say that Eleonora’s death was not murder, but a medical condition that suddenly turned deadly.
“Eleonora Kaufman did not suffer from congestive heart failure,” Dr. Tracey Baker, the plastic surgeon who performed breast augmentation on her, went on the record saying in court Tuesday.
Tracey also said that he and his nurses and anestheologist did not find any cardiovascular problems while examining the 33-year-old mother of two. when asked about at any point before during or after the surgery whether there was anything unusual about the functioning of Eleonora’s heart, he testified, “she was normal.”
But when Adam Kaufman’s defense attorney, Albert Milian, cross-examined Dr. Baker, he asked whether it was possible that patients lie about their past medical conditions on paperwork at plastic surgeon offices in order to get the surgery. Tracey said that it could be possible.
Prosecutor Joe Mansfield went on to point out a long list of injuries on Eleonora’s body when she was found, which included injuries on the upper-back muscles, abrasions on and below her chin, neck, left shoulder and chest, and hemorrhages in several strap muscles in the interior of her neck.
Mansfield asked Dr. Chester Gwen, the former Miami-Dade County associate medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Eleonora Kaufman, whether such deep injuries would be anywhere near where intubation performed by medical technicians who arrived on the scene would be preformed. Gwen testified that no, the injuries would not be related.
Defense attorneys argue that many of the injuries found Eleonora’s body were the result of her hitting her neck on a magazine rack as she fell to the bathroom floor after suffering a heart attack.
During the defense cross examination, Dr. Gwen admitted that he said in April 2012 that in his opinion the cause of death of Eleonora Kaufman was still pending, as he never finished the report or signed off on the report because he moved to Dallas to be a Medical Examiner.
Dr. Gwen went on to say that Dr. Bruce Hyma, the Miami-Dade chief medical examiner, had declared Eleonora Kaufman’s death a homicide without calling him and consulting with him on it. Gwen is the only person who performed the actual autopsy. Gwen said during his autopsy he did not find anything wrong with the heart but did understand that the scaring was found at a later time.
He also testified that in both scenarios Adam Kaufman gave of how he found his wife – one of which was slumped over the magazine rack, the second that had her slumped over the toilet — neither could have caused the force of a blow that was necessary to cause the injuries to her neck on the inside and out.
Gwen testified that the three failed intubation attempts also could not have caused the injuries to Eleonora’s neck. He said he’d never heard of a failed intubation causing the injuries where she had them.
Just because you have kids now doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t feel sexy anymore after having kids, many women decide to have breast enhancement as part of an overall plan to get that sexy body back
Many women become self-conscious about their bodies after having kids. Pregnancy has lots of effects on a woman’s body; the stomach and abdomen stretches, muscle is lost and fat is gained, stretch marks appear. It can be hard. Luckily, there is the plastic surgery option.
The mommy makeover is an overall plan that includes several different treatments.
To get rid of excess fat and skin, many women choose removal options such as liposuction.
To get rid of those stretch marks that appear and never go away again, you can have laser surgery so that they will not be visible.
And, for the changes to your bust, there is the option of breast augmentation.
For most women, after you go through pregnancy, your breasts will sag. They will lose the firmness they had before. You may find yourself changing cup sizes, either from a smaller to bigger size or from bigger to smaller.
This can be quite a shock, and an unhappy reminder that aging takes its toll on your body. But, it doesn’t have to stop you from having a body that you love.
A little surgery can help repair the damage done to your body by pregnancy. Just like you can remove the excess fat and skin, you can get back the firmness and shapeliness you once had.
Some women worry that breast feeding will cause shrinkage, and this is not true at all. the reason your bust shrinks after having a baby is that during pregnancy the milk glands get bigger and afterwards, they return to normal.
This happens naturally, whether you plan to breast feed or not. the glands replace fatty tissue, and after your pregnancy, the bust shrinks because the fat is no longer there.
The most common solution to this problem is implants. Implants were once a craze among Hollywood stars and the rich, but now it is common for moms to get implants.
This procedure is safe and can give you back the figure you had before your baby.
During pregnancy and breast feeding, the exact opposite can happen. Women often develop fatty deposits during pregnancy, as they gain overall weight to support the baby. the baby is born, and the stomach goes back down, but the fat is there to stay
You may find yourself going UP a cup size rather than down, and being too large in proportion to your overall body size can cause back and neck problems.
This is another outpatient surgical operation that can be performed easily by a plastic surgeon. the doctor simply removes fatty tissue, extra skin and glandular tissue. the operation is called mammoplasty.
Mammoplasty is safe, but it can cause problems with breast feeding in the future. if this is a concern for you, ask your doctor specifically about it during the consultation.
This is also called mastoplexy. It is an operation often used with implants to give you more firmness. It doesn’t make you bigger, but it gives you a lift and counteracts the sagginess that comes after pregnancy.
Mastoplexy is best for women with small breasts that have become saggy over time. by itself, it won’t make as big a difference as other types of augmentation surgery can. But, it will help if you are drooping after giving birth.
Enlargement surgery should be just one part, along with fat removal, extra skin removal and some other minor plastic surgery.
There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have a well shaped, healthy body after pregnancy. And who says moms can’t still turn some heads? Give those breasts the extra lift they need, and you’ll feel like your body is as good as new
S.A.metro – The plastic surgery addict boasted on Soweto TV’s LKG show that she was going to undergo another procedure to go lighter, “like Christina Aguilera”, have calf implants and a second breast lift. But this week she told Sowetan she had postponed the procedures “due to complications”. She refused to elaborate.
“My body cannot take any procedure for now. I will tell you when I’m ready,” she said.
Mshoza hogged headlines when she bleached her skin and said she wanted to look like Michael Jackson.
This was after she had already undergone various cosmetic procedures, including a nose job, breast augmentation and a tummy tuck.Yesterday her former hubby Jacob Mnisi said Mshoza might have postponed the procedures because she did not have money for them.
“Who is going to pay for that, because I am no longer with her?” asked Mnisi.
Mnisi broke up with Mshoza in March after allegations and counter-accusations of extramarital affairs.
It was alleged she left her home in eMalahleni to see a doctor in Joburg for skin treatment. Instead she went to the party of her friend’s child where she partied with another man.
Mnisi found out and dumped her.
Yesterday the mining tycoon said though the two were no longer together he still supported her financially, but would never pay for her cosmetic procedures again.
“When I made her beautiful I thought I was doing it for myself. I did not know I was making her pretty for another man. I regret making her pretty with my money. I made a big mistake. She really broke my heart. I dumped her while I was still in love with her.”
He said the only thing that connected them were their two children, who live with him.
“I decided to take them because Mshoza is not at home most of the time,” he said.
But Mshoza said she was still on good terms with Mnisi.-Timeslive
Everyday that you get older, your body ages in a way that you may not be able to see until the changes accumulate and transform your once gorgeous and firm body into one that has lost its attractiveness and appeal. since it is extremely important for you to feel completely confident and happy about your body and the way it looks, there are some things that you can do to improve its appearance. if you are tired of using cosmetics and diets as a means to get your looks and figure back, it is time for you to look into the benefits of having plastic surgery.
Plastic surgery is one of the biggest fields of medicine in the whole world. each year, that industry alone brings in billions of dollars in revenue. what does that fact say about cosmetic surgery? It says that more and more people are no longer wasting their time and their youth by waiting for some diet or cosmetics to work; you can go in for a plastic surgery procedure or two and get your body back right away.
You don’t have to resort to just changing your body back to the way it once looked. if there was any area or particular feature that you were unhappy with and were always thinking about changing, now is the time to do so. if you are looking to achieve a specific look and are not sure if it right for you, you can always have a consultation where the surgeon can listen to what your expectations are and provide you with a more realistic approach and generate a visual representation that will show you what your outcome will be. There is no reason why you can’t have plastic surgery and not look the way you want.
Since this may be your first time having any type of surgical procedure done, you may want to familiarize yourself with what is expected of you before your procedure. This means that your doctor will provide you with some instructions that you should follow in order to make sure there are no complications during your operation. these instructions will also require you to have a designated driver so that you make it home safely, so that you can recuperate without any stress that can cause complication during your recovery.
Once you have your procedure, you are on your way to getting back the looks you once had and improving the ones that you don’t like. There is no time like the present, to get yourself back together. the costs of plastic surgery are very affordable. Many procedures offer you little to none recovery time so that you can still continue on with your life without any interruptions. Once you have had your looks enhanced, you can regain your confidence and feelings of self-worth. Schedule a consultation and learn about how a cosmetic procedure can help you look young and beautiful.
E! has announced they have renewed Keeping up With the Kardashians for an epic three more seasons. And yes, I use the word ‘epic’ will all due sarcasm. Funny, I ran into a box of Wheaties at the grocery store this morning and it had a vintage picture of Bruce Jenner on the cover; thought that ran through my head: how the mighty have fallen. Jenner’s bank account’s response: FTW!
Yes the empire that was launched off an amateur porn tape, a connection to the most notorious murderer to ever walk free, and the bad plastic surgery choices of a former Olympian, will go on for the next 3 years AT LEAST, giving us all the ‘boy I’m glad I’m not rich and stupid’ break we so sorely need. It’s a catharsis for the middle class! The sheer genius of the producers, making us hate money like that. so I say this Keeping up With the Kardashians news is all win-win.
Perhaps most intriguing about this announcement is E!Online’s revelation that Kim has been seen with Kanye West in public. From the looks of the snapshot, Kanye is already practicing his best smoky look for the next Kardashian Christmas card — God knows the douche-bag to the right, Scott Disick, has it down pat. Now, Kanye has no contract with E!, but if things are getting as ‘serious’ as they seem to be insinuating could we be seeing Kanye on Keeping up With the Kardashians? One can only hope.
