Microdermabrasion: How Does It Work And What Are Its Benefits?

Microdermabrasion is the latest treatment which has made its way from Hollywood to the public. most people consider the treatment as one of the most efficient technology for beautification of the skin. In people’s day-to-day living, we tend to imagine how we look and how presentable we are from the eyes of other people. A few wrinkles might cause a person to become timid. In other words, physical looks have an enormous impact on one’s confidence.

In order to make sure the smoothness and the younger appearance of the skin over the face, neck, hands, and arms, people would try many treatments such as plastic surgery, injection of Botox, and chemical peels. Aside from being expensive, these treatments have more undesirable effects to the skin in the future. the best choice that experts would suggest is the Microdermabrasion; however, how does it work?

How Microdermabrasion Works?

There are two layers that skin has: the epidermis and the dermis. the upper layer, which is the epidermis, is a set of dead skin cells above the dermis which is the layer of premature skin cells. the epidermis includes the outer skin that we see and skin deficiencies are typical in this skin layer. Longer skin deficiencies such as scars go through the epidermis down to the dermis while others only occur in the epidermis. In other words, all goals of skin treatment are to remove the dead skin cells and allow the dermis generate a new set of epidermis.

The Microdermabrasion treatment has the same goal in mind. It targets the epidermis and removes them in order for the dermis to revitalize the outer layer. In this way, the skin will look younger, smoother, and healthier. the treatment works with crystals. the crystals will penetrate the epidermis and pull out all the dead skin cells so that the dermis layer will be able to do its job. In professional treatment, they use a metallic or a plastic wand to shoot and vacuum the crystals. on the other hand, home-treatment for Microdermabrasion does the same thing only without the device to shoot and vacuum the crystal. Home treatment is a set of creams and solutions with crystals as their ingredient. when people began to use the cream on their skin, the crystals will collect the dead skin cells and bring these cells once wash. In other words, the secret of this treatment lies on the crystals that do the magic.

What are the Benefits?

The main benefit of the treatment is with regards to skin flaws such as many signs of aging, acne, dark spots, and so on. Because the treatment will remove the dead skin cells, younger and healthier new skin cells will replace them in a remarkably short time. this will give people with smooth, radiant, and beautiful skin. the treatment goes together with accompanying creams to help the dermis in producing skin cells quickly. In addition, regular treatment of Microdermabrasion may lead to fewer skin flaws in the future.

Men Want Real Women – What’s A Woman To Do

Did you know Katie Couric said respect your wrinkles on NBC’s Today show? Matt Lauer said confident women are a turn-on and Al Roker agrees, Women look sexy when they’re just themselves, wearing jeans and a tee-shirt with less makeup.

They were discussing a poll released by Zogby International and ladies, men don’t particularly care for the Barbie doll look, rather from the 1,000 men who were surveyed, only 6% prefer Botox to wrinkles, 69% thought breast implants are not sexy and 50% want women to ditch the lipstick.

Then from Page Six, New York Post, April 26th edition, You Sexy Thing based on a new poll by Zogby International says it’s bad news for plastic surgeons because men prefer the natural look

That’s right – What men want and what they are looking for is changing Most men aren’t attracted to plastic, made-up women; instead, they want a natural, wholesome looking woman without the pulled, unnatural looking face most plastic surgery procedures produce, breast implants or Botox that paralyzes smiles and expressions.

Men want real women who aren’t afraid to show off their God-given assets. they want women who will say no to docs who want to fill them up with Restylane, Botox and other dangerous substances that can harm and possibly maim the user long-term.

So, if men don’t go for the Botox, breast enhanced implants, pulled face Barbie Doll look, who are these women trying to please? themselves? every time you choose surgery, you choose risk Not just risk from the procedure but also the risk that men may think you less attractive

What’s a woman to do? How can a woman look and feel vibrantly younger without the crutches we’ve come to rely on?

Many people have been brainwashed to believe that when they experience facial aging, there’s only one remedy – see the doc for surgery, laser, or injections. These temporary and very expensive procedures are risky; the patient believes they can buy a quick fix and then worry about the real aging later. Most patients do not realize that they’re not prolonging the aging process with these procedures; rather they’re masking aging in such a way that they will always be a slave to the next injection, a tweak here and there and most importantly, greater risk as the body compensates for foreign substances and healing requirements.

Trying to stave off Mother Nature is a very dangerous game when you try to fool her with unnatural means. After all, when one sees sagging, there are only a few options:

1) do nothing and feel dowdy and old from your 40′s onward 2) Spend your nest egg on injections, facial plastic surgery and lasers 3) Learn how to lift your face at home with a tried and proven method that keeps you looking younger and healthier day after day with no recuperative time, risk or financial burden.

Option #3 is by far the safest alternative because you can tone and tighten your facial muscles in only a few minutes a day. These muscles will contract, giving you a fresh, young appearance and your skin will look radiant from increased oxygen. You will have the look of a face lift without the hassle, the danger to your looks or general health or the expense.

You’ll love your results – Promise

About Facial Exercises: Common Misconceptions About Facial Exercises

Face exercises are a mystery to many guys and women who don’t understand the proper benefits for reversing the signs of aging without cosmetic or facelift surgery. In this piece, we look at several of the myths about DIY facelift exercises.do not be fooled by the fallacies and untruths about facial exercises as a means to look younger. If people understood the reality, they would not turn to cosmetic, or facelift surgery to improve their looks

Many people are seeking ways to look younger and cheat the clock. but it can be expensive for those who follow the surgical path or who favor other procedures like Botox or thermage to improve their looks. Non-invasive facelifts, in particular facial exercises, can make one appear years younger in a relatively short space of time.

There are many people who believe that face exercises are not as effective as they are made out to be, due to insufficient or inaccurate data available on the subject. so here are some facts you should know, which might contradict the myths regarding facial exercises.

Myth 1: Yoga face exercises will make you appear older because they make wrinkles deeper and promote more wrinkles.

Fact: Face exercises expand the underlying tissue and rejuvenate blood flow to the skin cells, thereby filling out the skin as the stimulated and underlying oxygenated muscles expand.

Myth 2: you can damage the muscles of the face if you vigorously work them.

Fact: Exercising the face muscles with facial toning strengthens and feeds the muscles, tissue, and skin cells with blood, and with much-needed nutrients.

Myth 3: it takes too long to rub on facial exercises to see good results. Cosmetic surgery will deliver far faster, better results in the desire to look younger.

Fact: Is 20 minutes daily for the first month, and 2 to 3 times a week too much? If you perform them in front of the TV, you will hardly even notice the time it takes to do them.

Myth 4: Sagging face skin could become more pronounced because face toning stretches the skin.

Fact: Because the facelift exercises focus on the upper, middle, and lower face, all the skin firms, thus giving you a more chiseled look.

Myth 5: Cosmetic mini facelifts, or a full face lifts, will permanently result in a younger look.

Fact: Plastic surgery can introduce scarring to one’s face where the surgeon has snipped off the excessive skin at the scalp, ears, or along the jawline. This scarring can create a hindrance to the essential blood flow to the skin and underlying tissue, thereby generating a scenario where you will look great for the first 18 months, but worse off afterwards as the skin reverts back to its former baggy state. furthermore, the scarring can retard the energy flow in the face and neck area. Cosmetic surgery is only superficial and is also short-term. If a facial exercise routine is practised a few times a week, you will enjoy long-lasting benefits.

Myth 6: A facial exercise, or toning system, can never be as effective as cosmetic surgery.

Fact: while plastic surgery can make you appear younger or better looking immediately, there are cases of bad facelifts or facelifts that have gone horribly wrong. have you ever seen somebody with the skin pulled too tight on their face? it can make that person look expressionless or like an Egyptian mummy

Face exercises are really great once you know how to apply them and on the right points. There are a few good facial exercise programs on the market at the moment. just imagine the comments from your friends and family when they notice that you look fresher and younger. Don’t be surprised if they ask you what your big secret is

Before contemplating plastic surgery, or Botox, or something else that will incur cost or risk, try DIY facial toning. I think you will be pleasantly astounded by the results and will thank your lucky stars that you didn’t undergo the knife

Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell won’t return to judge ‘The X Factor’ in the UK yet because he believes jet-lag ruins his looks.

The 52-year-old music mogul is currently working on the US version of the pop star search show and he won’t shoot both series at the same time because he is convinced cross-Atlantic travel ages his face.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ‘Simon hates the way his face looks when he’s jet-lagged and that’s the real reason he won’t be back.

‘When he’s tired he gets bags and dark circles under his eyes and he hates that.

‘The air-con on the plane also really dries out his skin.

‘When he gets off a plane he wears sunglasses to hide his eyes.’

Simon is known for his vanity and his lavish beauty regime was recently revealed in a new book, ‘Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell’, which describes how he has Botox twice a year, intravenous vitamin injections and regular colonic irrigation.

He has said of the latter process, where waste is removed from the bowels by pumping water through a tube into the body: ‘It’s so cleansing – and it makes my eyes shine brighter.’

‘The X Factor’ UK is currently judged by Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and Nicole Sherzinger. Gary was brought in as head of the panel after Simon left to go to America last year.

Weird UK trend on the rise: Women seeking perfect vagina!

London: It seems that getting a designer vagina courtesy your plastic surgeon is the new Botox as the demand for this procedure has sky rocketed in recent times.

According to a report published in the BBC, a research charity has launched an animated film hoping it will encourage debate about the surge of women seeking “designer vaginas”.

The film called Centrefold, funded by the Wellcome Trust, features three women discussing how labiaplasty – surgical reduction of the inner labia – has affected them.

According to the report, last year more than 2000 labiaplasties were carried out on the UK government hospitals which has been a fivefold rise in the last five years.

Experts believe the total number is likely to be much higher when considering the unregulated private sector, where the surgery costs upwards of £3,000.

The report speaks to the women who have had the procedure for various reasons.

Jessie said she used to spend hours flicking through magazines looking for women with a similar labia to hers. she did not find any.

She said it was “another piece of evidence that there was something wrong with me” and made her feel like a “complete freak”.

She experienced recurring dreams where she would imagine her labia as a scarf that would wrap itself around her neck. “There would be people standing around laughing and pointing.”

“Shortly after the operation I would dream that they would grow back and I’d wake up in a bit of a panic.”

A year on, her dreams no longer occur. she said she feels “really silly talking about it”, but it was significant enough to cause her daily anxiety.

Emma also thought her genital area was abnormal. she said before her surgery her labia was “very long, dark, stretchy. It looked disgusting – shrivelled up”.

“It was the only thing in my life that made me feel depressed. I was very excited about having labiaplasty. I thought it was going to be the end of all my problems. I thought it was going to look lovely, like a little designer vagina.”

Tyra Banks Thinks Plastic Surgery Is "Absolutely Fantastic" For Those Who Are Not Genetically Blessed : Celebrities : Enstarz

Supermodel and “America’s next Top Model” host Tyra Banks realizes that models, herself included, are genetically blessed, and told Yahoo! Singapore that she thinks plastic surgery is “absolutely fantastic.”

Banks said she is frustrated with other models who speak negatively about plastic surgery. “What’re you talking about? you won the genetic lottery,” Banks told Yahoo! Singapore. “You look like this specimen that’s making people everywhere feel insecure and you’re going to ridicule someone for getting plastic surgery?”

The 38-year-old media mogul justified plastic surgery by saying, “it’s not fair that certain people are born with certain things.”

Although Banks has always been a poster child for the body confidence movement, she is open to getting some work done on her famous face.

“I’m very lucky,” Banks said in a Yahoo! Singapore interview. “Black people and Asian people have similar (strong) skin… but if one day I have wrinkles and I don’t like it, I don’t know if I’ll cut myself but maybe… a little botox, fillers?”

This is the same woman who on June 25 uploaded an Instagram photo of herself wearing a bathing suit with a caption that read, “I challenge you to a big forehead contest!  you know I got that win on lock!”

(Photo : Instagram)The Instagram that featured the caption:

In may, Banks told US Weekly: “This is who I am! I’m Tyra Banks and I have cellulite! that makes me ‘flawsome’ because I own it as part of what makes me unique. Don’t get me wrong: I don’t think my cellulite is beautiful, but I think it’s ‘flawsome.’”

Banks has made it her mission to build the self-esteem and confidence of girls and young women ever since she founded the T-Zone in 1999.

“My main mission is to get girls to realize their inner and outer beauty and have high self-esteem with both,” she said during the US Weekly interview. “‘Flawsome,’ for me, is about being flossy, amazing and awesome with our flaws and celebrating those, too.”

America’s next Top Model’s is going into its nineteenth season and throughout its course, Banks has remained committed to featuring “fiercely real” (a term she uses instead of plus-sized) models and who possess uncoventionally attractive qualities.

“I choose the girls that are covered with freckles or super duper pale,” she told US Weekly. “Those things, to me, are really beautiful. I want to spread that message more that those are the things that make us unique.

The premier of America’s next Top Model Cycle 19: College Edition begins Friday, August 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Plastic Surgery Procedures That Reduce the Signs of Aging

Aesthetic plastic surgery covers a much larger scope than most people realize. there are certainly several procedures like rhinoplasty and ear pinning surgery that change the nature of the patient’s appearance, but there are also a number of treatments – some surgical and some non-surgical – that are more about retaining appearance than changing it.

Blepharoplasty to enhance the eyes

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is one of the most common aesthetic plastic surgery procedures to reduce the signs of aging and let patients retain a youthful appearance. The procedure involves tightening and removing excess skin around the eyes where wrinkles can form.

As plastic surgery procedures go, eyelid surgery is one of the less intensive. Although it may be several weeks before the swelling and bruising subside enough for the results to be apparent, the procedure itself is performed in a few hours on an outpatient basis.

Botox and Dermal Fillers

Injecting dermal fillers into the skin to smooth out wrinkles is a low-impact, nonsurgical procedure that many patients have performed during a brief office visit. The function behind it is simple: by plumping up the area under the skin, an aesthetician can make wrinkles dissipate, or disappear completely for a time.

These sorts of treatments are temporary, and need to be repeated in order to retain results, but the process itself is so mild that most patients don’t mind return visits.

Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion

Both chemical peels and microdermabrasion have similar outcomes. they remove the top layers of aging skin so that younger, more vibrant skin cells can shine through. they can smooth out the texture of the skin and return patients to a younger, healthier appearance.

Chemical peels use agents like lactic and glycolic acid to achieve this result, while microdermabrasion employs small particles to remove old skin cells.

Facelift

When it comes to aesthetic plastic surgery treatments that reduce signs of aging, the facelift is the big gun. a facelift takes the entire face into account, and allows patients to regain their younger appearance in one procedure.

Plastic surgeons accomplish this by removing the excess skin that can cause wrinkles around the entirety of the face, taking care to place incisions near the hairline and existing creases so that the fact that the patient has undergone a facelift is not obvious – except by the noticeable reduction in visible age, of course.

The most important aspect of the facelift is the doctor’s skill at realigning the facial skin. Simply stretching the skin out by itself won’t give the desired result. The skin must be properly repositioned over facial features to give a natural-looking appearance.

Always use a qualified professional

It is incredibly important for those considering any of the above procedures to make sure that they seek out a qualified, certified plastic surgeon or aesthetician. This is specifically true for nonsurgical procedures like dermal fillers and microdermabrasion. Patients seeking bargains in these areas have ended up with less than satisfactory results, and sometimes even serious health issues.

If you are considering aesthetic plastic surgery or other procedures to reduce the signs of aging, do your research and make sure that you are seeing a qualified, board-certified professional.

Plastic Surgery Procedures That Reduce the Signs of Aging

Top 7 Countries with Most Cosmetic Surgery (U.S. is Fourth)

The popularity of plastic surgery is a worldwide phenomenon, and while the United States remains a major market for cosmetic procedures, there are five countries in which plastic surgery is even more popular. According to statistics released by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, South Korea is the top country in terms of the proportion of the population that uses plastic surgery. Each of the countries in the top 7 reflects different national tastes and preferences.

1. South Korea. According to the survey, about one in five women from Seoul has undergone some form of plastic surgery. The most popular plastic procedures are liposuction, rhinoplasty, and Asian eyelid surgery.

2. Greece. Breast augmentation is extremely popular in this Mediterranean nation. The survey also revealed a curious fact: the country had 592 penis enlargement procedures performed in 2010, which is ten times higher than average.

3. Italy. Botox and liposuction are the top priorities for cosmetically inclined Italians.

4. Brazil. Liposuction and breast implants are the most popular surgeries in Brazil, where plastic surgery is considered perfectly normal. According to Malcolm Z. Roth, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons,  “culturally speaking, Brazilians have no problem with plastic surgery. if anything, it’s seen as a status symbol to have had it.” One of the benefits of this cultural acceptance is that Brazilians enjoy tax deductions to support elective plastic surgery.

5. Colombia. Liposuction is by far the most popular plastic surgery in Colombia.

6. United States. Demand for plastic surgery continues to rise as the American economy slowly recovers. Liposuction is the most popular surgery, while breast augmentation comes in a close second. Botox towers above all other procedures in the non-surgical category.

7. Taiwan. Wrinkle-reducing treatments such as Botox are the most popular cosmetic procedures among Taiwanese.
