Who has the ideal Hollywood nose? Megan Fox, says Dr. Paul Nassif, a facial plastic surgeon and star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He lists Fox as this year’s most requested celebrity nose.
Previous frontrunner, Angelina Jolie, had more of a “cutesy nose,” said Dr. Nassif on KCAL TV. “Now we’re looking at a little bit more of a Grace Kelly from the old days, or now Megan Fox.”
He describes the ideal as long and elegant: “When I mean long, it’s just that it comes straight down and the tip rides up a little bit. Not a scoop.”
Though it may be frequently requested, Dr. Nassif notes that not everyone is suited for that kind of nose. “I have to only do what’s going to fit that person’s face. a lot of patients will come in with photos that won’t match at all what I can do on their face. Completely different. so, I have to be realistic.” He suggests browsing before and after photos to find folks who match your face shape.

Celebrities and media figures are known to have a pronounced effect on their fans, and their audience and their death may be just as important as their work. A new study is showing how the death of celebrities can have a direct effect on fans.
With the growing rise social media, fans have the opportunity to feel a little closer to their favorite celeb. When the world loses such people, it almost becomes second nature for fans to express their grievance on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or any other social media platform. with the loss of Whiteny Houston, Michael Jackson and Adam Yauch of Bestie Boys, fans exploded with grief on social media websites.
According to Robert Harris, professor of psychology at Kansas State University, each response to celebrity death reveals the significant realities of how people build relationships with their favorite media persona.
Harris has studied a number of traits relating to psychology and communications and his focus has been on how people obtain information from the media. within his studies, Harris has also observed how watching certain media with different media personalities can influence one’s experience, not to mention how people respond and remember a certain media experience.
Harris also states that people develop relationships with celebrities similar to the approach they would have taken with people they know in real life. this phenomenon is known as the parasocial interaction. this one-sided relationship is regularly perceived between celebrities and their fans. Parasocial interaction was first recorded near the 1950s during the rise of television and movies making fictional characters more realistic.

Harris also reveals the loss of a celebrity has a clear difference between the loss of a family member.
The use of social media has become therapeutic for those devoted fans, but also fellow celebrities who mourn the loss of their associates.
There are no social structure and support for grieving the loss of a media personality, he stresses it is very different compared to losing a member such as one’s grandmother, and social media outlets can be used as a therapy for grieving the loss of celebrity.
RadarOnline asked Dr. Anthony Youn, a noted plastic surgeon, author and blogger, for his take on the work that Basinger might have had, and quotes him saying,
“She looks quite swollen, consistent with having had plastic surgery like an upper and lower eyelid [lift] and/or facial plumping using fat injections. Her right eyelid also appears to be drooping, such as what can happen with overdone Botox.”
RadarOnline doesn’t say how they confirmed it’s her — with or without the sheet — but over on their competition’s TV show, and at LAX, the backwards running photographers are always yelling the celeb’s name out. Still, with all the 50-something blondes named Kim getting Botox in Beverly Hills … how can you be sure it’s that Kim?
This isn’t the first time Kim Basinger’s name has popped up in connection with plastic surgery. the website Plastic Celebrity in the past has run before and after photos, saying:
“Kim Basinger has been the gold standard for graceful aging in hollywood. and even to this day, she is looking exceptionally young for nearly sixty years old, wouldn’t you say?
“However many are now wondering if she has turned to plastic surgery, to maintain her ageless appearance… So far we’ve read about a possible facelift, eyelift and facial fillers… but if you ask us, we’d say those assessments are a bit much, instead it would appear that Ms. Basinger has become quite friendly with botox injections, and perhaps some type of collagen therapy.”
Plastic surgery has gone so public nowadays — many of the TV ‘Housewives’ are up front about it, and none other than feminist legend Gloria Steinem has shared about a bit of nip/tucking that she once had – that it’s interesting to see an actress still holding fast to the Hollywood mystique.
But I’d lose the blanket and buy a hat.

You may fantasize about what your body looked like before your baby took up residence inside. Plastic surgery and its promise of a return to your pre-baby body may be very tempting, but the sheer cost and potential risks are factors you will probably consider. What exactly is the mom package, and would you go for it?
The mommy makeover
Think about how your body changes when you become pregnant and birth a child. your abdomen rounds out, your breasts become fuller and you may add some extra change into the bank account around your butt and thighs. your skin stretches to the max and sometimes leaves behind a river of stretch marks to forever remind you of the time your carried your little one inside.
But after your baby arrives, and even after you lose your pregnancy weight, you simply don’t look the same. That’s where a cosmetic surgery mommy makeover comes in, with a breast lift and augmentation, a tummy tuck, and possibly a butt lift and liposuction.
In the spotlight
Such procedures don’t come cheap, which is how many celeb moms find themselves in the headlines. Kate Gosselin’s possible new look was unveiled in a photo posted online recently, but no confirmation has come forth. so we asked Dr. Gregory Buford, board certified plastic surgeon at Beauty by Buford in Denver, Colorado, to give his professional opinion as to whether Kate Gosselin went under the knife.
“[Kate Gosselin's] facial improvement has more to do with the needle than the knife.”
“Judging from her current appearance as compared to previous photographs, Kate does look refreshed and a little bit different,” Dr. Buford shared with us. “I would say that although she does look more refreshed, it is doubtful that she went under the knife this time and that her facial improvement has more to do with the needle than the knife. her cheeks are slightly more plump and her jawline refined. In addition, she has very few wrinkles to her forehead and so this suggests to me that she has undergone treatment with injectables.”
Real moms discuss
Becky Harks, wildly popular blogger at Mommy Needs Vodka, got a tummy tuck in 2010. Not only was her belly looking less that perfect, her abdominal muscles had separated and it was causing her significant discomfort. “Aside from the recovery, which was brutal,” she wrote, “It has been a total win. I look great and feel full of the awesome.”
“My body looks horrendous, but the destruction came from growing my babies & I’m ok with that.”
We queried a few other moms whether they’d consider going for the mom package and getting a new look like Kate Gosselin (although the jury’s still out on whether she did it!).
Many were outright wary of the risks and pain involved such as Jolene, mother of three. “One of my friends had a tummy tuck and the recovery was horrible,” she shared. “In theory I would love a mom makeover, but the reality is it is painful and has its risks. My body looks horrendous, but the destruction came from growing my babies & I’m ok with that.”
Kelly, mother of two, agreed. “It’s way too dangerous for me,” she shared. “As much as I would love to have an awesome body, it is not worth it. I’ve heard too many horror stories about that stuff!”
Charlene, from New York, was all for it, however. “Yes, I would if it would make me feel better and I could afford it,” she stated. “Having a kid does a lot to your body and your self esteem is shot. why not?!” and Heather, mother of soon-to-be two children, is fully intending on getting a tummy tuck and a breast lift when they are done having children. “The way I look at it, I’m just doing what I want for my body that can’t be done naturally,” she affirmed.
Message to our children
What message does this desire for perfection send to our kids? is it actually perfection we are hoping for, or a return to what was ours before our children was born? The celebrities parading in their delectable bodies mere weeks after giving birth have given rise to unreasonable expectations for the rest of us, but it certainly can develop the argument that it plays into even more unreasonable expectations for our children.
But as Becky Harks suggests, keep your lines of communication open and be honest and upfront with your kids if you do have cosmetic surgery by telling them, “You should never feel like you must have a breast augmentation or any other cosmetic procedure to be beautiful.”
What to consider before going under the knife
Dr. Buford has several suggestions for moms considering plastic surgery. “Every patient should have realistic expectations about the actual outcome,” he remarked. “Reasonable patients are happy patients because they know going into surgery what a surgeon can and cannot do and they rarely are surprised. next, they should know the background, training and expertise of their surgeon. Too often, patients are drawn to price and not precision only to be disappointed after their procedure that they didn’t accomplish their overall goals.”
If you are thinking about going for a mommy makeover of your own, you have a lot to consider and think about, but hopefully we’ve given you a place to begin.

It was reported earlier this month that Heidi Montag turned downed Dr. Drew’s celeb rehab, but an insider just informed me that Heidi is slated to be a part of the show along with former NBA star Isaiah Rider!
The two will join the cast already revealed by TMZ:
Dwight “Doc” Gooden ……………….Former NY Mets pitcherTareq AND Michaele Salahi …….. Alleged WH crashers and “Real Housewives of D.C.“Bai Ling …………………………………….. Actress?Michael Lohan …………………………. Lindsay’s dadJeremy Jackson …………………….. aka Hobie from “Baywatch“
Recently, Spencer told the people over at RumorFix the following:
Heidi’s husband, Spencer Pratt, tells RumorFix exclusively, “We told them we wouldn’t respond unless it was a million dollars. They came back with not a million dollars—I’d rather be sitting here eating KFC.”
And then there’s the other issue of addiction. Spencer says producers were trying to get the reality star, who had 10 plastic surgeries in one day, to admit she had an addiction to plastic surgery. Spencer says Heidi told him, “If I was addicted to plastic surgery I would be getting lip injections all the time like Kim Kardashian.” The former Hills star says, “It’s one thing if she had an addiction that was helping her. but it would be detrimental to her life, because it would take her away from everything she loves for 30 days. that would make her go to rehab — mental rehab!”
Michael Lohan and Heidi Montag! It gets no cheesier than that!
With celebrities walking the streets of LA parading their plastic surgeried bodies, it’s no wonder so many people feel the need to defy age. But one celeb who will not be going under the knife any time soon is Lisa Kudrow. At the age of 46, Lisa who used to play ditsy Phoebe in Friends, is looking amazing and radiant. Talking to OK! the star said, “I mean, look, time marches on. You can’t look 30 when you’re not. “it makes me nervous, that stuff (surgery)” Hey, seeing what plastic surgery has done to Heidi Montag is enough to give anyone the heebee jeebees! But, as much as Lisa is against plastic surgery, she reveals that she’s not ruling it out completely. “It’s sometimes just hard to watch yourself…Boy I really hope I can put it off till I’m 60 or 70.” Do you like celebrities who have had plastic surgery? tell us what you think on Twitter @areyouentwise and on our Facebook fan page.
While celebrities like Jessica Alba and Gisele Bundchen may be able to bounce back to their pre-baby bodies quite easily, not all women can slim down with ease just weeks after childbirth. Skinny celeb mommas—who have the luxury of hiring personal trainers, chefs, and nutritionists—have sparked rumors about a controversial new cosmetic procedure: the ‘C-Tuck’.
The C-Tuck is a cesarean section for childbirth, immediately followed by a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). if the idea of having a little nip and tuck during childbirth sounds too good to be true, it probably is. it is hard to find a doctor offering the procedure, however, this is not a surprise as the C-Tuck is considered to be relatively unsafe. while OB/GYNs or other unlicensed individuals may be performing C-Tuck’s under the radar, you won’t catch a board-certified plastic surgeon cashing in this trend.
The average abdominoplasty can take up to five hours, which would require an unsafe amount of anesthesia for both the mother and child. Combining an abdominoplasty with a cesarean section could be potentially deadly for both parties. in addition, a woman’s hormone levels are spiked during childbirth and therefore the skin and soft tissue of the abdomen may not heal the same with a C-Tuck as it would with a standard tummy tuck.
C-Tucks can also run a high risk of infection as there are numerous cavities exposed to a combination of fluids during a cesarean section. by adding another in another procedure, there is more tissue exposed to pathogens. Combining a hysterectomy with a tummy tuck is a more controlled procedure that is more commonly practiced.
If you are a mom who is considering a tummy tuck, I recommend waiting at least nine months after childbirth before undergoing the procedure. Patients will see optimum results if they allow their body to heal and the abdominal skin to shrink as much as possible. Also, you should not undergo an abdominoplasty unless you do not plan on having any more children. Giving birth after a tummy tuck can reverse the results of the procedure completely.
While C-Tucks would certainly make life easier on moms, they are neither realistic nor safe. Tummy tucks in Delaware should only be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon, not an OB/GYN or otherwise.
