Diversity Is the New Trend in Plastic Surgery Atlanta Surgeon Says

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) August 08, 2011

when it comes to plastic surgery Atlanta patients have been going fairly strong throughout the economic downturn, yet centers like the Swan Center have found a slight downward trend reflecting the economic struggle. Those who were pursuing treatment were of the same basic demographic, but this is starting to change.

Numbers of procedures and consultations are starting to rise again as the economy recovers, and the Swan Center’s Dr. Joseph Bauer notes an interesting trend as they do. Not only are more people turning to him for procedures, but the demographic of his patients is also becoming increasingly diverse.

“In the past we could fairly easily predict the demographic of our patients,” stated Dr. Bauer, “but recent statistics have shown an increase in diversity. We can no longer predict the type of person who will come to a plastic surgeon. Atlanta residents of all types are embracing aesthetic medicine as a way to look and feel their best.”

This fact combined with the economic upswing that is on the horizon is drawing larger numbers of people to the plastic surgery industry, and the Swan Center.

Part of the reason for this increased diversity is the number applications that cater to all people. According to Dr. Bauer, “The appeal of both aesthetic surgery and cosmetic medicine will continue to spread across the spectrum of our population, as plastic surgeons further tailor treatments to meet the sometimes unique needs of the expanding population.”

Today’s plastic surgery patient has more choices than ever before, including minimally invasive treatments, non-surgical aesthetic options, and new reconstructive techniques. as the economy continues to improve, so will statistics for the number of people turning to plastic surgery. when they do, the Swan Center will be waiting to offer the latest innovations in cosmetic surgery.

He’s sharing his gratitude with the people who have chosen his plastic surgery practice in Idaho and recommended him to their friends over the past few years.

“I’m very passionate about helping people through medicine, so I was determined to get the best education and training possible,” says Dr. Freeman. “It meant I needed to spend many years in various parts of the world after I earned my MD. I learned a great deal from the diversity of those early years and the perspectives of my teachers. Still, when the time came, I was definitely ready to put down roots.”

Dr. Freeman earned his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He then completed his plastic surgery fellowship and residency at the Mayo Clinic. He chose to complete an additional advanced fellowship in facial aesthetic surgery in Australia as well as an optional fellowship in aesthetic and laser surgery with acclaimed Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Grant Stevens.

“While cities like Los Angeles have a lot to offer, they never felt like ‘home’ to me,” says Dr. Freeman. “I’m an outdoorsman, so I yearned for a place where I could enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, and skiing. I wanted to find a community where my patients would be friends and neighbors, a community where I could raise my children. I began a quest that would lead me to eastern Idaho, where plastic surgeons with advanced skills in aesthetic surgery are in demand.”

After gaining valuable experience in an exclusive plastic surgery practice in Florida, Dr. Freeman came to Idaho Falls to join Dr. Catherine Durboraw. at The Center for Aesthetics, Dr. Freeman has spent the last 3 years using his talent to perform surgical procedures such as face lifts, liposuction, Mommy Makeovers, nose surgery, tummy tucks, breast lift, breast reduction, and breast augmentation in Idaho. He also offers non-surgical services such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, injectable fillers, laser procedures, and other skin care options.

“I believe people in small communities deserve the same quality care and excellent results that are available in larger cities,” says Dr. Freeman. “That’s the principal I had in mind when I established my practice here. People are now even travelling to see us from Salt Lake City because they know we can give them the look they want. ”

Idaho plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Freeman (http://www.drmarkfreeman.com) is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine and went on to complete a plastic surgery fellowship at the esteemed Mayo Clinic.
