Eye-lid surgery in korea.? robotic surgery

Please this is serious and i don’t want any funny answers. I am 15 yrs old and an asian. I have been pasting tapes that can enable my eyes to form a double eye lid. I have considered and made a decision on wanting to perform this surgery but i do want to know if i can do the surgery at the age of 15. If i can’t then what is the youngest age i can do? Please do know that my parents even suggest that i do this surgery cause they say i look nicer with double eye lids And if you wanna tell me bout natural beauty then lemme tell you this.. I have already considered a long time and i’m sure of my decision but still, thank you. The tape works magically on me but its hard to put make-up properly on my eyes with that tape there and i do not want to spend money on those tapes for like forever so i’ll get this eyelid problem done once and for all with this surgery. once again, serious answers please. I just wanna know the age!@ kristy, thank you so much Your information really helps me a lot!@ Melinda D You do have a point too but after wearing that double lid tape, my eyes appear bigger and naturally i can see things more. Well, actually plastic surgery is a super common thing and i do not expect to undergo any other surgery other than the eyelid one cause i do not want my face to be whole plasticy lol. I bet a few more years time, 50% people of the world undergo surgery before. Besides, eyelid surgery is not obvious unless you close your eyes.. And if my husband or boyfriend really do love me, he will not judge by my appearance. I feel that looking prettier can boost up my confidence thats why i decided to undergo ONLY this surgery. thank you for your answer though.

Answer by Kristyyeah of course you can do it at 15. haha i’m 15 too and korean and my parents also suggested me to do the surgery. honestly, in korea, they are very lenient with pretty much anything and i’ve heard of cases of newborn babies getting the surgery. also, look at the celebrities in korea right now. many are teenagers and it’s very obvious that they had some work done on their eyes. just do your research on a good doctor and i hope everything works out!

also, if you have trouble with the tape, try glue! i hear it works a lot better. and if you are planning on getting the surgery anytime soon, just know that you can’t wear the tape for a certain amount of time before. the tapes makes your eyelid sag so the surgery would be harder to perform.

Answer by Melinda Dwtf? like dont u go to school or something?what do you think your freinds are gonna say? “oh the girl that had plastic surgery..” and imagine that from a few years from now and youll have a boyfreind and your ognna have to tell him you had plastic surgery and guys do not want a pretty girl on the outside WITH plastic surgury.. thats just disgusting… and how plastic is that… im asian too but what the hell.. i mean okay you want to do it but you know the consequences and that the results you want may not always come out the way you want. and it hurts like shittttttt (ive been told … i dont do shitty plastic surgury because im satisfied wiuth how i look.) but i dont think it matters what age it is to have plastic surgury,.. i mean alot of peole on tv in korea that are underaged already have plastic surguryyyyyy and they all have fake plastic facesss

Answer by christain gurlIn the states you need parental consent, in south korea i think that you have to be at least 18 to have plastic surgery. think not really sure, and i am not sure that any plastic surgery would even give it to you since you are still growing. However psychologically speaking I advocate going to a psychologist first off and getting down as to why you even need the surgery at all. You need to be secure in yourself first before you got augmenting anything at all.asians have a nice set of eyes, they are beautiful.

I have had ptosis(drooping eyelid) in my left eye since birth. I’m 17 and I’m extremely embarrassed about it. I try to hide it with make up but it doesn’t work out as well as I would want it to. Are there any natural ways to correct ptosis without surgery? If not, who would be the BEST surgeon to go to? also, I am enlisted in the Navy. Will I even be able to get surgery?

Answer by nadeemThere are some optical frames comes in older time specialy for ptosis affected persons in which there is a hook type stand there you can manualy strech your lids and stick on it os from the front no one tells ptosis patient but there is a danger of drying your eyes.I dont know now a days those types of frames comes or not but you must consult to eye dr near you for expert advice.

Answer by MollyHi, as you have had this since birth, it depends on how well your eye lids blinks.

I’ve had this problem since an eye operation last November.

If you had an operation to corrected this problem, would your eye lid be strong enough to blink enough to lubricate your eye?

As you don’t want dry eye syndrome.

I have a swollen upper eyelid. also, it hurts when I blink, although it’s not too bad. The thing is, I am not too worried about it, it’s a common problem that happens to most people. However, about 9 months ago, I had surgery to remove a meibomian cyst from the same eyelid, and I wanted to know if this sudden swelling may be in any way related. I don’t want the cyst to come back at all, since the surgery was painful and I still cringe whenever I remember the anesthesia injection. Is there any way I can prevent the same problem from happening again?

Thank you for your anwers!

Answer by BECKY Awarm compacts and check with your doctor first thing monday morning..just to make sure this isnt a reaccurance of before…good luck to you, i have learned from the past we only get one set of eyes, take care of them…..

Question: is upper eyelid surgery ever covered by insurance?

Answer: Yes, upper eyelid surgery may be covered by insurance if your eye lids’ position interferes with your peripheral vision. this can happen if your upper lid covers a portion of the center of your pupil, called “ptosis,” or if your lids have excess skin hanging over your lashes, called “dermatochalasis.” Patients with this condition feel like they look tired from the lid heaviness — or their friends tell them they look tired!

In order for the surgery to be covered, insurance companies will generally require the patient to get a visual field test with their ophthalmologist. They may also require the doctor to submit photos identifying the ptosis or dermatochalasis in order to be pre-qualified for surgery within a certain time frame.

The surgeries I do to correct these eye-lid conditions are about an hour long and performed under IV sedation (or twilight anesthesia), not general anesthesia. it is not a painful procedure and patients find their recovery consists of some minor swelling and discomfort, which is normally controlled with cold compresses and pain medication. most patients find their bruising is minimal, generally lasting about two weeks, which is also when most patients are back to a normal routine.

Patients can certainly benefit from the surgery not only functionally in helping their vision, but the cosmetic benefits of looking less tired and more refreshed are also admired.
