Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have won damages against a British newspaper after a report claimed they had split up.

The British publication News of the World printed a report in January claiming the couple were planning to end their relationship and split their fortune as well as custody of their six kids.

The pair took the newspaper to the High Court in London and have been awarded an undisclosed sum in damages about the untrue report.

The couple, who were recently seen on the red carpet in LA for the premiere of Jolie’s new film Salt, were not in court for the judgment.
