A high-flying businesswoman’s career and family life were ruined when a plastic surgeon decided ‘to play God’, a court heard yesterday.

He botched a facelift leaving Penny Johnson, 49, with a drooping ‘monster eye’ that forced her to step down from the consultancy she ran with her husband.

She had slurred speech, drooled and was barely able to sleep because she could not close her right eye and had to tape it up at night.

Her twitch stopped her working or caring for her three children, who complained about the way she looked, the court heard.
