10 Worst Plastic Surgery Disasters · Fbi Most Wanted

From Jocelyn Wildenstein, a US$4 million monster, to –who else?– Michael Jackson, meet these ten plastic surgery addicts, terrible examples of really bad plastic surgery gone wrong.

Hang Mioku: the korean plastic surgery addict who injected cooking oil into her own face

One of the most famous cases of awful plastic surgery gone wrong, Hang Mioku, a 48 year-old woman from South Korea, became so addicted to plastic surgery that she was left unrecognisable after her obsession led her to inject cooking oil into her face. She had her first plastic surgery procedure when she was 28. Following operation after operation, her face was eventually left enlarged and disfigured, and the surgeons she visited refused to carry out any more work on her and one suggested that her obsession could be a sign of a psychological disorder. So Hang resorted to injecting cooking oil into her face. it became so grotesquely large that she was called “standing fan” by children in her neighbourhood – due to her large face and small body.

As Hang’s notoriety spread she was featured on Korean TV, viewers seeing the report took mercy on her and sent in enough donations to enable her to have surgery to reduce the size of her face. during the first procedure surgeons removed 60g of foreign substance from Hang’s face and 200g from her neck. After several other sessions her face was left greatly reduced but still scarred and disfigured, a true challenge for korean plastic surgery.

Jocelyn Wildenstein: a US$4 million monster

Known by the press by the nickname of “the Bride of Wildenstein” –a reference to the Bride of Frankenstein–, Jocelyn Wildenstein has allegedly spent almost US$4,000,000 on cosmetic surgery over the years, ending up as one of the worst and most famous cases of plastic surgery addiction. But who did that happened?

Once upon a time, in the late 70’s there was a beautiful women namedJocelyn Wildenstein. Jocelyn really had it made. She was a fresh-faced mother of two and married to an extremely rich art dealer. that is until she caught her husband in bed with a 21 year old Russian model. Now, any normal person would just leave her husband and take all of his money with her, right? Not Jocelyn Wildenstein! instead she decided to win back her husbands love and make herself more beautiful by going under the knife. Well, her husband left her anyways, but Jocelyn will always have her plastic surgeon.

Does this really need to be explained? It’s incredible to forget how absolutely normal Michael Jackson looked back in the 70’s and 80’s, attractive even, before turning into the sideshow freak that he is today. he is rumored to have had more than 10 nose surgery procedures on his life.

Pete Burns, former frontman of the British band Dead or Alive –famous for their single “You Spin me round (Like a Record)”–, has had extensive polyacrylamide injections into his lips, along with cheek implants, several nose re-shapings and many tattoos. he revealed in early 2006 that he had spent almost all of his life savings on eighteen months of reconstructive surgery after a procedure on his lips went horribly wrong.

Dennis Avner, also known by “Catman” or his native american name of “Stalking Cat”, has undergone incredible extensive surgery in order to look like his totem animal, the tiger. Modifications include extensive tattooing, transdermal implants to allow whiskers to be worn, subdermal implants to change the shape of the face and the filing and shaping of the teeth to make them look more like a tiger’s.

Born Eric Sprague in 1972, the Lizardman was one of the first people to have a split tongue and in some circles is seen to be wholly responsible for the recent popularity of this particular modification. This 37 year old man has transformed himself into a reptile via 700 hours of tattooing, five Teflon horns implanted beneath the skin of his eyebrows, filing down of his teeth into sharp fangs, bifurcation of his tongue, and stretching of his septum and earlobes.

Since taking over for her brother Gianni Versace, platinum blonde fashion designer Donatella Versace has gone through some drastic changes thanks toawful plastic surgery, turning herself into a caricature. Although nose jobs are usually done to make a nose smaller, Donatella’s has grown larger over the years. it is also wider and flatter and slightly crooked, indicating that at least one bad nose job took place. In addition to her big nose, Donatella also has large lips, like the trout pouts of the Hollywood divas the designer dresses. Although the fashion icon has always had big lips, the oversized upper lip indicates that fillers, like collagen, have been used liberally. For a 53-year old, Donatella’s skin is very firm, indicating a possible facelift. She probably also uses dermal injectables like Botox to eliminate wrinkles, even when she smiles. her tight face is a strong contrast to the loose skin on the rest of her body. And yes, Donatella’s weight loss also revealed her breast implants. Anything left?

The mother of famous actor Silvester Stallone, Jackie was also famous for claiming she can talks to dogs about the future, she also once set up a psychic hotline which would charge callers for advice. Now she’s relatively famous for what looks like a little too much plastic surgery, as she has tried everything: facelift, brow lift, cheek implants, nose job and, of course, lip jobs.

Once a poverty-stricken young boy, Amanda Lepore‘s countless surgeries have made her one of the world’s most famous transexuals. She had her first plastic surgery at the age of 15, getting a sex change in her last year of high school, and countless surgeries after that.

Last but not least. Meet italian socialite Michaela Romanini. Another plastic surgery gone wrong, this lip collagen abuser is only 40 years old, and became famous after her many surgeries.

Business of perfection

In November 2010, Chinese celebrity Wang Bei died on the operating table during a cosmetic “bone-grinding” procedure. the 24-year-old from Hubei province earned notoriety as a pop star hopeful on China’s “Super Girl” reality show. despite her reputation as beautiful, young and talented, Wang chose to undergo a procedure to reshape her jaw. the doctor inadvertently punctured a blood vessel during the procedure, filling her windpipe with blood.Cosmetic surgery in China is plagued by operational risks and poor regulatory oversight. Less than half of the 11 clinics and hospitals offering cosmetic or plastic surgery inspected by the Chinese health ministry last year (a small percentage of the total) met the official code, Vice Health Minister Ma Xiaowei said in a statement. many clinics not only had sub-standard equipment and materials, but also employed personnel without proper credentials.Even so, China’s cosmetic surgery industry is booming. Roughly 3.7 million people spent a combined US$47.5 billion on cosmetic surgery in 2010, up roughly 40% from the previous year, according to China-based research firm CIConsulting. Companies that sell fillers and other products used in cosmetic surgery, such as Allergan and Q-Med, are shifting their market strategies eastward to meet this demand. despite the social costs, the cosmetic surgery and cosmetics market is clearly very lucrative. And the market is going nowhere but up.Keeping up appearancesChina strictly prohibited cosmetic surgery as a bourgeois indulgence until 1980. despite the late start, China now accounts for nearly 10% of all cosmetic surgeries performed globally. in 2009, it ranked third in terms of number of procedures performed, behind the US and Brazil. like iPhones, Louis Vuitton handbags and Audis, the market for cosmetic procedures, such as Botox injections, double-eyelid folds, liposuction and breast augmentations, is just another manifestation of China’s growing wealth. the market for cosmetic surgeries in China is relatively fragmented. Chinese customers can choose from an array of public hospitals and expatriate clinics. some even splurge for higher-quality clinics abroad, often in South Korea and Singapore, both Asian hotspots for medical tourism. Ma, China’s vice health minister, has said that Chinese patients alone constitute 30% of cosmetic surgeries performed in Seoul. Those without the means to travel abroad sometimes enlist “firemen,” or unlicensed practitioners, to perform their surgeries. These unlicensed physicians often perform simpler procedures in the backrooms of beauty salons, such as eyelifts and double eyelid folds. but while these amateur surgeries are easier to carry out than liposuction and breast augmentation, without proper safety precautions they can result in nerve damage, eyelid punctures and even blindness. Regulators are unable to keep up even basic enforcement on the thousands of salons that perform these procedures.Horror stories like these have helped boost demand for Western-made fillers and other cosmetic surgery products, which Chinese consumers generally view as higher quality. but Western companies are just beginning to penetrate the Chinese market. Botox and Restylane, two leading “injectable fillers” used to plump up aging features and smooth wrinkles, received approval for use in China only in 2009. the maker of Botox, pharmaceutical company Allergan, has announced a strategic shift to China. Allergan saw its sales of Botox in the Asia-Pacific rise 27% annually in the third quarter of 2011, and it has announced plans to release Juvederm – a dermafiller used to smooth wrinkles – in China in the next three years. other Western companies such as Merz Aesthetics, Anteis and Ipsen Biopharm are looking to replicate their success and are currently seeking approval for products such as Radiesse, Esthelis and Dysport.the market potential has encouraged domestic corporations to create similar products. Dozens of Chinese alternatives to Western creations like Botox are already on the market, but are generally unregulated and sometimes unsafe. Those that are clinically approved rarely expand their operations globally. However, a few high-quality Chinese products are finding their way into Western markets. For example, a Botox alternative from the Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products has been approved by Chinese regulators and is already on offer in 16 other countries. if more Chinese brands are able to combine cheap prices and high quality, they too may find purchase in overseas markets. The price of beautyThe development of China’s cosmetic surgery market has social as well as economic implications. at first glance, the popularity of these surgical procedures in an otherwise socially conservative country might seem surprising. However, Li Qingfeng, head of the Plastic Surgery Department of Shanghai no. 9 Hospital, argues the popularity for cosmetic procedures actually reflects Chinese traditional culture, particularly the Confucian desire to imitate models of perfection. Young women often cite gender inequality and competitiveness in the workplace as a reason to undertake cosmetic procedures, said Jin Zhao, a former radio presenter with China Radio International. there may be some truth in this: the standard practice in China is for applicants to attach headshots to their resumes, and firms frequently hire attractive secretaries to represent the “face” of a company. “It is almost an unspoken rule that some employers tend to hire female employees based on their looks more than their educational and professional merits,” Jin said. This is reflected in the market for cosmetic procedures. Li of Shanghai no.9 Hospital, said that it is largely women who elect to have cosmetic surgery. Going under the knife remains fairly taboo for men, whose looks are less of a factor in the workplace. Critics of the practice say that many of these women underestimate the risks of cosmetic procedures. Li said that many patients are shockingly uninformed about the procedures. but for many Chinese, the risks of a largely unregulated market have not trumped the satisfaction of getting one step closer to perfection. one female marketing assistant in Shanghai who travelled to Seoul for a double-eyelid fold said she was not that satisfied with her operation, but that she still might elect for another surgery to reduce her cheekbones. “I want to make my face smaller,” she said. “People like a beautiful appearance.”

‘Human Barbie’ Sarah Burge Kicked Off Show By Anderson Cooper: ‘I Think You’re Dreadful’ [VIDEO]

“I honestly have nothing more to talk to you about,” Cooper said, as the audience clapped. “I gotta be honest. I gotta just stop.”

“I try to be really polite to all my guests,” Cooper said to Burge. “I think you're dreadful and I honestly don't want to talk to you anymore.”

Burge left the stage repeatedly saying, “That's fine.”

An embarrassed Cooper later said he repents even inviting her to share her story.

“I regret having her on in the first place and I regret that that's how things ended,” Cooper said.

Sarah Burge, “The Human Barbie”

Sarah Burge gained notoriety back in January when she admitted to spending more than $65,000 on plastic surgery – for which she holds the record for most Botox operations – and gained the self-proclaimed title of the “Human Barbie.” she was thrusted further into the spotlight when her comments sparked outrage from many for her antics, from giving her seven-year-old daughter pole dancing lessons to hosting an “exotic pamper party” for her daughter Poppy's birthday. During the birthday party, her daughter Poppy and seven friends received makeovers, drank fake champagne and had a designer cake.

Today I’m going to tell you a sorry tale. are you sitting comfortably? then I’ll begin.

Once upon a time we lived in a world free of inane celebs, where most famous people were well known for having a talent and being able to do something useful with their lives. it was a time when programmes like Y Don’t U? and Art Attack could frolic happily on the airwaves without the threat of breast implants. it was the golden era of sticky-back plastic and Grange Hill. it was a happier, more innocent time.

Then, something happened to change all that. A great monstrosity called Reality TV cast its dark shadow over the land, and plagued us with the Z-List Celebrity.

The Z-listers were propelled to fame for being orange, genuinely stupid, ill educated and horny – and nothing else. they flooded our television channels, gained control of our magazines, took over the Internet and dumbed us down.

All of a sudden people like Katie Price – who first gained notoriety for being a glamour model (i.e., doing full frontals in porn mags) – inexplicably became very famous for camping in a jungle, marrying the one-hit-wonder Peter Andre, having a couple of kids, getting divorced, getting married again, getting divorced again then designing a line of ghastly Equine-wear.

Unfortunately, huge ratings for programmes like ‘what Katie Did Next’ paved the way for scores of non-entities to get paid vast amounts of cash for reality shows and inane newspaper columns. now, sadly, we are fully acquainted with a group of glorified TV personalities who, despite their shiny surfaces are the scum of the earth.

For example…. Kerry Katona (famous for being a bankrupt, drug addled cosmetic surgery addict who can’t kick the curries), Imogen Thomas (famous for being an adulterous cow and home wrecker), Natasha Giggs (enjoyed five minutes of fame after shagging her husband’s brother), Jack Tweed (was married to Jade Goody, was arrested for rape and GBH), and Kim Kardashinan (found fame after releasing a graphic sex tape online)…

But all these pale in comparison to the latest aberration unleashed by the Reality TV Monster…

Alex Reid, who gained fame for an ill-fated, short and in-no-way-staged marriage to Katie Price. the story concerns his probably ill-fated, short and in-no-way-staged forthcoming marriage to Chantelle Houghton.

Chantelle won Celebrity Big Brother before she became a celebrity, which is all a bit ‘meta’. she got married in OK! Magazine, and then divorced after an ill-fated, short and in no-way-staged marriage to Preston, the Ordinary Boys front man and fellow CBB contestant.

It’s almost as if the narrative of the in-no-way-staged celebrity weddings and subsequent ‘painful divorces’ is being flogged to gain extra airtime. or am I just being cynical?

What is so different about this atrocious couple? they have brought an innocent child into their Reality TV lives, that’s what.

Today, articles about Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton’s troubled engagement and imminent birth of child #1 are plastered from floor to ceiling. She’s pregnant and he’s pretending to be pregnant! He’s still cross-dressing and he might be a bit gay but we’re not going to say that outright until next week! will they stay together?! will she accept his alter-ego Roxanne? what will poor pregnant Chantelle and unborn child do next??? Watch this space for wall-to-wall OK! and Hello! Magazine coverage with live broadcasts of the caesarian section!!!!

Reality TV has wreaked its final punishment on our happy land. Celebrity Z-listers are becoming generational.

There is no happy ending to this sad story. I just feel dirty for giving these nobodies an extra modicum of publicity.

Heidi Montag’s New EP ‘Dreams Come True’ Showcases Major Cleavage

Posted: April 17, 2012

Reality-TV celebrity, occasional “actress”, and pop culture pariah Heidi Montag released her EP Dreams come True on April 11th, but the only real “perk” is cover art featuring the 25-year-old showing serious cleavage in a skimpy monokini.

Though IQ can’t speak much for the music, Montag is certainly getting her money’s worth for all that plastic surgery she’s undergone. In November of 2009, Montag for 10 plastic surgery procedures in a single day, following 2007′s breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. Here’s a before-and-after, showcasing her dramatic (and I would say unnecessary) change:

As for the EP, it features four previously released songs from the aspiring singer: “Your Love found me,” “Party is wherever I am,” “No More” and “Overdosin”. The EP itself is actually a follow-up to 2010′s Superficial which sold less than 1,000 units in its first week of release.

After running up a plastic-surgery clinic tab and watching her marriage to Spencer Pratt implode on the cover of every tabloid, Montag, who gained her pop culture notoriety in the boot-camp of MTV’s The Hills alongside Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge, appeared on VH1′s Famous Food in 2011 and hasn’t done much since, except sulk slowly into obscurity. Wisely, she and 28-year-old husband Pratt, now live a “low-key” lifestyle.

“I needed a break after such a crazy six years of my life,” Montag explained on Lopez Tonight last year. “And from being in L.a. and Hollywood.”

Not sure how releasing this new EP showcasing thousands of dollars in plastic surgery makes one low-key, but I rarely need to leave my house, so what do I know?

Now before you think me one-sided here, consider the issue and how many people are standing across the line in “pro-Heidi Montag” land and let me know how lonely it is.

Do you think Montag is best-suited in or outside of the public eye?

Catwoman Julie Newmar’s Plastic Surgery : Makemeheal.com Celebrity Plastic Surgery, News, Gossip

Dec 7

Julie Newmar has conquered stage and screen, but for many, she will always be known as the Catwoman in the campy 1950′s Batman television series. Remaining active in Los Angeles, more recently Julie Newmar has gained notoriety for her devotion to plastic surgery.

77-year old Julie Newmar has never shied from the spotlight, often appearing in films and television shows as the vixen. While Julie has moved on from acting and dancing to become a businesswoman, she still makes the occasional red carpet appearance, where her plastic surgery is caught on film.

Remarkably enough, Julie looks to have retained much of the sexy figure that made her famous as the Catwoman, back in the day. above the neck, it looks like Julie relies on plastic surgery to stay looking good. Julie has always had very arched eyebrows, but they appear to be higher than ever, indicating that she has very likely had a browlift in addition to a facelift. Julie has likely had more than one facelift, given her age and the very pulled look of her face. In the past, Julie may have had a nose job, giving her nose a very slim and sleek appearance. Julie has likely also had a necklift, as she does not have signs of “turkey” neck or jowls that frequently appear with age. Julie likely also uses Botox in her forehead and between the brows, as she has a shiny Botox look and may also use facial fillers, especially to augment her lips, which appear fuller than ever, even with red lipstick.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Julie Newmar appears to have had a browlift, facelift, Botox, facial fillers, possibly a necklift, and possibly a rhinoplasty at one point in her life. Her look appears slightly overdone, and she would not benefit from additional work at this time. ”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Julie Newmar has an extremely dramatic looking arch to her brows.  She most likely has had a brow lift combined with Botox injections to create that look.  It also appears that she has had a blepharoplsty or eyelid lift as they seem remarkably youthful and fillers creating her voluptuous lips.”

Julie’s devotion to looking good clearly pays off and Makemeheal.com wishes her the best.

The most wanted warlords in the hemisphere

One by one, Mexico’s notorious warlords have come and gone — household names and nightmares with a modern-day twist.

They share notoriety south of the border as well as across it – having pushed illegal drugs through Texas and other states, some ending up in shackles on extradition flights headed to Houston or beyond.

“I have watched this for 20 years. There are no old, retired drug traffickers,” said Drug Enforcement Administration agent Steve Robertson, of the Houston Division. “Violence is the nature of their business.”

Now, nearly two decades since the Mexicans took over from Colombian Pablo Escobar – the world’s first true drug kingpin – a review of Mexico’s top gangsters over the years traces their rise, reign and nearly inescapable fall.

Many have been sent to the U.S., landing in federal courtrooms from Texas to California to either stand trial on drug trafficking charges or take a deal: Snitch on cartel comrades – and forfeit some of the riches earned through drugs and blood – in exchange for leniency.

Borderland butchery

Hundreds are vying to work their way up the ranks to take their places. But times are changing. The celebrity status may be wearing out as an estimated 28,000 people have died in Mexico’s drug war since 2006.

Gangsters have taken butchery to a new level by hacking off heads and body parts, killing rivals by the dozens at a time, and breaking the oldest code of organized crime: killing family members and civilians.

The most infamous of warlords on the run is Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, whose nickname translates as “Shorty.” he has defied all odds by breaking out of a Mexican prison nearly a decade ago and taking his Sinaloa Cartel to the top of Mexico’s organized crime world.

Keeping it in the family

His brother now runs the business, but the Juarez cartel, based in Ciudad Juarez across the border from El Paso, has shifted away from the smuggling of planes that gave Lord of the Skies his name and moved on to the cartels’ new normal of barbaric crimes.

Amado Carrillo’s contemporary, Juan Garcia Abrego, known as “El Señor” among other names, was the first Mexican drug boss to make the FBI’s ten Most Wanted list. he refused a plea bargain and was found guilty in a Houston court on an array of conspiracy, drug trafficking and money laundering charges. he is serving multiple life sentences in the federal Supermax prison in Colorado.

His Gulf Cartel, which is based out of Monterrey near South Texas, gave birth to perhaps the most merciless thugs of them all, the Zetas. An assassination hit squad that grew into a full-fledged cartel, the Zetas introduced beheadings and other such savageries to Mexico’s drug war and are blamed for the slaughter of 72 immigrants last month on a ranch.

Price on their heads

“You can go on and on and on. Taking out the head (cartel leader) is not enough,” Steve McCraw, head of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said of destroying a cartel. “You have to take out an entire organization, and you’ll need to take out the ability of the entire organization to profit.”

Francisco Javier Arellano Felix, who comes from a band of brothers who led the Tijuana Cartel, was arrested in 2007 by the Coast Guard on a boat south of the Mexican coastal resort of Cabo San Lucas. The playboy of the family, he rose to power when few were left to take the helm. he is imprisoned in California.

Miguel Trevino Morales, known as “Comandante 40,” is a Zetas boss believed to be responsible for much of the mayhem on the South Texas-Mexico border in recent years. he is a fugitive from charges in the U.S. and has a $5 million price on his head.

He offers his fellow gangsters perhaps the best example for self-preservation. by cooperating with the U.S. government, and offering information secreted in sealed court documents, he took a deal to do time in prison and go free 14 years from now.

“You become a target, just like the gangsters from 1920s Prohibition in the United States,” said Larry Karson, a retired Customs Service agent who is now a criminal justice lecturer at the University of Houston-Downtown.

Karson said the government went after Al Capone because he was getting too big to be tolerated: “I believe the president of the United States himself said, ‘Get Capone,’ because he became bigger in the public eye than many people thought was appropriate for a gangster.”

Mexico’s war continues

And so it goes in Mexico, where President Calderon has continued his all-out war on the cartels and noted in his annual state of the union address that three major traffickers have been captured or killed in the last year.

Edgar Valdez Villarreal, who was born in Laredo and is nicknamed “La Barbie” for his light hair and eyes, was arrested in Mexico last week. he did not look fearful of his fate and even smirked when paraded in front of reporters while flanked by masked federal agents.

“Celebrity status for criminals is based on a path of destruction and greed,” Cardenas said. “No comparison of heroic, folklore or legendary status is justified. Heroes save lives, they do not take them; legends earn respect with honest, hard work completed each day for the betterment of all.”
