Most of the times we are unhappy with the way we look and we all know that how we perceive our own body can affect our relationships with others. we would do anything to have bigger breasts, smaller nose, fuller lips or even smaller ears. And in order to have the things we want, we often resort to plastic surgery because it seems the only solution to our problems.

Three years ago, a girl of 15 years from England decided to resort to plastic surgery to get breast implants for her next birthday. As expected, the story quickly was spread around the world, being on the front page of newspapers. since then, media reports continued to speculate that plastic surgery is a new fashionable option for any teenager who has visible physical flaws.

Thus, the number of adolescent patients has increased significantly lately. Another reason why teens choose this major solution is the example that they get in the house: they grew up with parents who have turned to plastic surgery and thus they have the opportunity to see and hear more about this procedure.

First of all, you must be aware that before reaching physical maturity, you cannot make a good decision about changing your body. Considering that the body is in constant transformation, it can shape over time and your flaws can be fixed by themselves.

Secondly, it is very important that your parents know of your intention in order for you not to go through this process alone. In addition, if you are under 18, you are not legally allowed to have a surgery without their consent.

If you decided for an aesthetic surgery, another important factor to consider is the choice of the surgeon. It is necessary to get information regarding who is the best specialist in your area and if you can trust him. after you’ve made the choice, it would be ideal to have a conversation in which you’ll ask all the details of the surgery, such as risks, side effects, costs and so on.

One of the most popular plastic surgery, both among women and men, is rhinoplasty, ie nose job. a beautiful nose is essential for the beauty of someone’s face, but it is also the one that gives personality. before you make this step, it is important to know that this physical imperfection can be dimmed with makeup tricks and a proper haircut. The surgery takes about an hour and afterwards it is essential to stay in the hospital for at least 24 hours. The price of rhinoplasty is about 2500 euro. As for the side effects, there may appear swollen and purple eyes or a swollen nose.

Plastic Surgery – Pros and Cons

The Lying Truth Of Social Networks

Nowadays the social network websites have become a part of our routine, from communicating with friend and family, sharing moods, relationship status, meeting new people, finding love, to even find a casual relationship. This last one almost everybody, and let’s be honest, have tried once. but the matter is how we can be sure that the feedback I am having with someone it’s real.

I’m going to base my argument with my experience. First I need to establish that I am from Venezuela and most of what I’m going to tell is related mainly from local social networks.

To give you a heads up, my concern is when you are really sure that the people you haven’t met yet give an accurate description of them or have met already online and started to exchange information: likes and dislikes, past relationships, and such. are being completely truthful.

It all starts with the search. You specify what kind of person you are looking for, this is not a dating website where you can choose hair and eyes color, body built, favorite sexual position; these are simple specifications like gender, age range and location. Once this is done the website shows you a list of all the people that meet your criteria and it is from here where the real fun and intrigue starts.

First example, this girl writes on her profile: I’m very conservative girl who love god, likes to party, dance and have fun. I am looking to make serious friends, please no perverts. OK, maybe some people will not notice this, but when you say you like to party and have fun, it doesn’t go well with I am a conservative god loving girl. Who knows, maybe I’m the one who is picturing the darkest idea of what is partying and having fun, but the real kickers is the profile photo and what she says at the end no perverts. She attached a picture of her dressed in a really thigh short dress with a low-cut top that you can see half of each implanted breast (vanity has become the most important thing for Venezuelan women, that plastic surgeons give special promotions 3 for 1, breast, nose and buttocks for the price of one that is a whole other issue I might tell you about later) hanging out of the dress. Answer me this: what kind of people do you intend to attract when you posted a picture dressed like that? Unbelievable

This other woman writes: I am a responsible mother of a beautiful baby girl. I want to meet people from here who likes to go out to clubs and enjoys the nightlife. yes You heard right, the key word here is responsible.

Last but not least: I am an adventurous woman who likes to have fun and it is looking for a partner to show him a good time. First thought it is that this is for a casual relationship, so after we met and started to talk, this girl tells me that she does not even kiss on a first date what the heck Normally I look through these networks to try and find a serious relationship, but from time to time I throw in a casual one which I though this one was, who wouldn’t with that description.

Do not even get me started on posting pictures from ages ago when you looked your best or writing things like I like to party, I love god, I am romantic person who like long walks. If you cannot be original, then be honest and go straight to the point and say I could describe or say things that I like to do or something about my personality, but I will not waste time on that.. at the end we just read this if the picture catches our attention, isn’t it?.

What it means to lose a twin

Documentary filmmaker Anna Vander Wee started to think about what it meant to be a lone twin after her daughter got married and she and her boyfriend split up.

Vander Wee had been particularly close to her daughter.

But what really got her thinking was a comment by a previous boyfriend, one of a long string of relationships that always ended amicably but always lacked – something.

To most people, a spouse is “the other half,” her old boyfriend told her. A twin already has that other half, a “soulmateship” from birth, he said, and the death of one twin leaves the other searching and dissatisfied. “People who don’t have that are searching for it in their partner,” he said.

“When he said that, I was completely shocked. I didn’t really realize to what extent it had been dominating my life,” says Van der Wee, referring to the death of her twin brother more than 30 years ago.

Her experience led her to retrace her steps in a new documentary, Lone Twin. The film has dual themes: the profound relationship between twins, and her own journey to make peace with her loss. Twins, she notes, are “members of an exclusive club that no one else can join.”

Van der Wee, who was born in Belgium, lived in Canada and now is based in Brussels, talked to twins, twin researchers and “lone twins.” She asked them how they would feel if their twin died. Some refused to even speculate. Twin loss is a real taboo, both for twins and for other people, she says. “When you lose a twin, there is complete silence.”

One of her subjects was Chicago plastic surgeon Dr. David Teplica, who has photographed almost 300 pairs of twins. Teplica recounted how he had received permission to photograph a colleague’s twins right after their birth. The newborns screamed until they were reunited, then instantly entangled in their bassinet.

A colleague once advised Teplica to ask his mother why he was so obsessed with twins. He was puzzled, but when he did, his mother turned white, and said she had miscarried his twin. He had never heard this before.

Vander Wee recalls that, as children, she was the rebel and her brother Dirk was the quiet one. they were best friends. their different personalities gave each a “job” in the relationship. Dirk was Anna’s anchor and shield, and this allowed her to push boundaries and still feel safe.

When she was 12, Vander Wee was sent to the first in a series of boarding schools and was expelled from seven of them. Dirk, meanwhile, remained at home until he was kicked out by their parents. He drowned while exploring an underwater cave when he was 20.

After Dirk’s death, Vander Wee was sent to university in London to study English. She married a much older man and had a daughter. after her marriage broke up and she returned from London, she felt that her family had “monopolized the grief.” She and Dirk had always been “the twins,” but the term was erased from the family vocabulary. It was this that scarred her most, she says. “It was as though my identity was taken away.”

In making Lone Twin, Vander Wee travelled to Nigeria to be part of a ritual observed by the Yoruba people, who have the highest incidence of twins in the world and have immense respect for twinness.

The Yoruba believe that twins share one soul. When one dies, the common soul is threatened, and a ritual must be performed to reunite it. Vander Wee was given a carved figure called anibeji that represents her lost twin.

The experience was powerful, she says. The Yoruba acknowledged that she would always be connected to her brother.

“My identity as a twin was taken away from me. All of a sudden, people treated me as a twin (again),” she says. “This sharing one soul – it’s the closest explanation to what it is to be a twin.”

Plastic Surgery Is Not For Everyone

Plastic surgery is becoming more and more common. People all over the country are realizing that plastic surgery is not just something that famous or wealthy people can afford or take advantage of.

However, plastic surgery is not for everyone. Plastic surgery aims to correct parts of a patient’s body that make the patient unhappy, says Dr. Joseph Bauer at the Swan Center for Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. this can vary from removing deposits of fat that are unaffected by diet and exercise, to reshaping a nose.

Plastic surgery is also different than reconstructive surgery, which attempts to restore the look or function of part of a patient’s body that has been affected by disease, genetics, injury, or medical treatment.

If a patient is unhappy with their appearance, plastic surgery might provide them with a way to look better, and also feel better. many patients who are unhappy with an area of their body will receive a boost in confidence, improved relationships, and more overall enjoyment with life after their plastic surgery.

This does not mean that plastic surgery is a cure for depression. Plastic surgery simply provides a way for people to feel satisfied with the way they look if they have an aspect of their body that displeases them.

For a patient to determine if plastic surgery is right for them, they should educate themselves about all aspects of the procedure they want, the possible risks and complications that are associated with the procedure, and the expectations desired from the plastic surgery.

Plastic surgery should be viewed as a last resort for some procedures, says Dr. Dean Fardo in Atlanta, Georgia. For instance, a tummy tuck or liposuction procedure should be viewed as a weight loss technique, both are designed to provide the patient with an improved body contour.

Prior to plastic surgery, the patient should review all forms of the procedure they want. there are different types of liposuction, for instance, including tumescent liposuction and ultra-sonic liposuction. Being informed about the different procedures will allow a patient to better determine if the plastic surgery procedure they want is really the right one for them.

A plastic surgery patient should also be aware that all plastic surgeries have potential risks and complications associated with them. For some procedures, like BOTOX, the possible risks and complications are fairly small. during the initial plastic surgery consultation a patient will be able to go over possible risks with the plastic surgeon.

One of the most important aspects of deciding on plastic surgery is the expectation the patient has for their plastic surgery procedure. a good plastic surgery patient will understand that plastic surgery is not a way to achieve perfection, but rather improvement. Plastic surgery can improve a patient’s appearance so that they feel better about the way they look, and are more confident about their appearance.

When deciding on having a plastic surgery procedure, a patient should schedule an initial plastic surgery consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon like Dr. Bauer or Dr. Fardo. during the initial plastic surgery consultation, the patient will be able to have all their questions about the procedure answered.

Also, the plastic surgeon will be able to examine the patient and determine if the plastic surgery procedure they want will achieve the expectations and results they want. if a patient has unrealistic goals or expectations, a plastic surgeon may be able to suggest an alternative treatment for the patient.

Can Castor Oil Cure Tinnitus?

Castor oil is primarily a mineral oil which has certain therapeutic properties. This has made it popular since the prehistoric era. even in the modern times it is used as a folk remedy to cure tinnitus.

Tinnitus can be best described as a symptom that is caused by the use of certain drugs, diseases and loud noise. it can produce ringing, chirping, whooshing or buzzing noise in the ears without any actual noise in the surroundings.

With the advancement in medical science sophisticated treatments are being introduced to cure tinnitus. However, the time-tested folk remedies have not been overshadowed because of their effectiveness.

Castor oil is being used since times immemorial to curb tinnitus. Putting 3-4 drops of castor oil in each ear can do wonders in controlling tinnitus.

There have been cases where some people visit psychiatrists after becoming frustrated and hopeless due to their tinnitus. This happens mainly because the tinnitus noise does not allow the patients to focus on their work. This makes their work and the relationships with their family suffer.

The patients feel stressed out as they have to struggle to sleep due the distracting noise of tinnitus which becomes even more prominent at night. all these factors have a negative repercussion on their minds. However, such patients who lose all hope of recovery through a conventional treatment and turn for help from psychiatrists got cured eventually by castor oil. 6-8 drops of castor oil on the tongue followed by a glass of water till a period of 4 weeks cured their tinnitus.

Castor oil is especially effective in curing tinnitus that is triggered by allergies and ear infections.

Castor oil is used in the following way since olden days to get rid of tinnitus:

  • A castor oil pack is prepared by soaking a bit of flannel in castor oil and then placing it on the affected ear.
  • This is followed by heat therapy which is done by placing a hot water bottle on the affected ear.

Castor oil can heal the cochlea and even the damaged cells in the brain.

However, tinnitus is a multi-faceted problem that requires a holistic, all-encompassing approach. Hence, castor oil can be used in conjunction with some other form of treatment for a complete cure.
