Types of Plastic Surgery Options At Your Fingertips

When it comes to plastic surgery, you have many different options. most people already have an idea of the body part they would like to change, but they may not know exactly what the options are for that body part. Women and men both have these types of surgeries, and they normally fall into several different categories. These categories often include breast surgeries, body procedures and facial sculpting. There may be certain procedures that do not fall into one of these.

Breast procedures are very common for women. This may be due to the fact that women often feel very self-conscious about their breast size or shape. Women with small breasts often feel like they are less than what a woman should be. Women with sagging breasts are unhappy with the way that they sag.

There are solutions to both of these types of problems. a breast augmentation is one of the most popular breast procedures available. a breast augmentation is designed to reshape and resize the breasts. during this procedure, a surgeon will often insert implants to increase the size of the breasts. He may also change the shape of the breasts or even them out. during this type of procedure, a doctor can do almost anything that a woman would like. in addition to this, some women may simply want a breast lift or a breast reduction. Women with really large breasts may experience back problems because of this, but a doctor can take care of this. a breast lift is ideal for a woman that likes her size and shape, but simply needs them lifted to be perkier.

Body procedures include things such as mommy makeovers, tummy tucks and liposuction. These are all designed to improve the look of a certain body part. for example, a tummy tuck is often needed by women that have extra skin or fat due to pregnancies. Liposuction is ideal for removing fat deposits that are virtually impossible to lose through dieting and exercise. These types of plastic surgery options can be used on many different body parts, and you can choose where it would benefit you the most.

The third main category is facial sculpting. This is includes procedures such as rhinoplasty, facelifts, eyelid sculpting, ear sculpting and neck lifts. Each of these is designed for a particular body part, with the exception of a facelift. a facelift is designed to enhance the looks of the entire face. It is used to remove extra skin that is causing the face to look like it is sagging. Extra skin also appears in the form of wrinkles.

Through a facelift, a person can look much younger and will have fewer wrinkles and sagging parts. Eyelid or eyebrow sculpting procedures will change the looks of the eyes. Rhinoplasty is ideal for a person that is unhappy with his or her nose. This is a type of plastic surgery that is used to reshape and resize the nose and this can make a huge difference in the way a person looks.

Plastic Surgeons – How To Use Technology To Your Advantage

Plastic surgery has many definitions. One definition of plastic surgery is that it is a surgery that is concerned with the repair or improvement of injured or defective body parts. another definition of plastic surgery is that it is a medical specialty that is concerned with the restoration or correction of form and functionality of the human body. either way you look at it, plastic surgery was introduced to correct human features that were odd and shape them to resemble the features that are possessed by the majority of the human race.

In recent times, this surgery has been associated with superficiality as some people believe that it implies implanting actual plastic body parts into the human body. This is not the case. In plastic surgery, the term “plastic” is used to denote sculpting or moulding. it has nothing to do with the grafting or implantation of plastic body parts.

Plastic surgery includes many types of reconstructive surgery among them being abdominoplasty – which is better known as a tummy tuck, rhinoplasty – which is the reshaping of the human nose, otoplasty – which is the reshaping of the ears to make them symmetrical and blepharoplasty – which is the reshaping of the upper or lower eyelids. while some of the procedures mentioned above are sometimes related to cosmetic or aesthetic surgery, most plastic surgery is not cosmetic. as a matter of fact, most of the procedures mentioned above are used to treat human parts that were defective either at birth or that were propelled into such a state by diseases or natural disasters.

The number of people who visit hospitals with the aim of getting reconstructive surgery is growing each year. People who had thought that they would live with their physical defects such as burns or even cleft palates for the rest of their lives are now seeking treatment from qualified professionals to help them reverse their conditions.

This brings us to the plastic surgeons. That said; the number of plastic surgeons in the world is very low in comparison to the number of patients seeking reconstructive surgery. This means that the average plastic surgeon is bombarded with more patients than he can handle. so, how can such a doctor organize his schedule so that he manages to cater for each patient efficiently? The answer lies in online booking systems.

Better known as online appointment scheduling systems, these are systems that surgeons can use to help them plan their schedule and at the same time communicate with their patients without spending a lot of time. with the help of online booking systems, a patient can be able to schedule an appointment with a plastic surgeon regardless of where he lives in the world and get a confirmation date for his surgery.

That said; in order for us to get a better understanding of how these systems can be advantageous, let us take a brief look at how they work.

Once online booking systems have been integrated into the surgeon’s official website, the patients can then land on the site and make appointments with the surgeon. This is made possible with the scheduling software that comes with the system. At the site, the patient will be asked to provide various details including his name, age, gender, country of origin and type of deformity that he wants corrected among many other details. Once this information has been provided the person will be asked to verify that he is not a spammer by verifying his identity. This can be achieved by using his credit card or by faxing supporting documents to the hospital. In some cases, patients can be asked to leave a deposit which will be refunded once their appointment has been scheduled. Once this is done, the appointment request is then sent and lands in the surgeon’s mail. The surgeon is then able to go through the various appointment requests that he receives and respond to them appropriately.

Overall, this system helps the surgeon to learn the number of patients that require his services and the different procedures that they want in advance. This helps him to plan his schedule accordingly. Some surgeons use this system to help them treat their patients based on the nature and condition of their defects as mentioned in the forms they received while others simply use the first come first serve principal. either way, this system has proven to be very valuable to both the surgeons and the patients involved.

2010 Plastic Surgery Statistics Released: On The Rise For Men

Economy aside, we want to look pretty. The favorite surgeries for men include liposuction and face lifts; women opt for breast jobs.  Interestingly, breast augmentation is still the number one surgery in the U.S. and it rose. The non-invasive star of the beauty industry was Botox shots which increased an amazing 14 percent in one year. Smile pretty, the face is our new favorite sculpting ground. as reported in the review “Although not among the Top 5 Cosmetic Surgical procedures, face lifts experienced significant growth in 2010 with nearly 113,000 procedures, up 9 percent. Face lifts have not experienced growth since 2007, before the recession.”

Is it working? For some, but for others it can become an addiction. Botox, Restilin, face lifts, mole removal, eyelash extensions, lip plumping, the procedures are endless, but for some no amount nip and tuck will ever make them feel better.

Close to 1 to 2 percent of the population struggles with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Dr. Jamie Feusner a psychiatrist out of UCLA conducted new research on BDD using an MRI brain scan. The study concluded the BDD suffers used the left – more analytical side of their brain – then the control group when looking at pictures of a face. whereas the right side of the brain is used for seeing the whole image in its entirety, the left side of the brain is used to pick things apart and scrutinize the details.

Is there a lesson to be learned in this for all of us with body image issues? yes, the next time you catch yourself cursing a wrinkle, Google searching liposuction, or daydreaming about a smaller nose, remember that you are probably hyper critiquing that body part.

You can’t look through a microscope to see the world, so why would you look through a microscope to see yourself?
