Hail Sharon! Drag Queen of the Underworld!

Three months ago a self-proclaimed “loser” from Pittsburgh sauntered into our lives. Clad in black and a witch’s hat, the drag queen told us, “I look spooky, but I’m really nice.”

Over the next few weeks, we fell under the spell of the RuPaul’s “Drag Race” contestant who pushed the boundaries of conventional drag and mesmerized us with her wickedly witty charm. She held her own as RuPaul sent one queen after the other home.

And, last night during a live finale on Logo she sashayed away with a crown, $100,000 and the title of America’s next Drag Superstar.

Today, once again, Fenuxe chatted with the deliciously devilish Sharon Needles. Forgive us for the tease below, but you can find the rest of her interview in the may 17 issue of Fenuxe Magazine.

Fenuxe: So what are you going to do with the $100,000 prize?Sharon: I don’t know. I’m going to get so much plastic surgery Chad Michaels is going to look natural.

Fenuxe: Who was your favorite guest judge?Sharon: oh, Elvira, of course!Fenuxe: That’s what I thought; I just didn’t want to assume.Sharon: To be accepted on the show was mind boggling enough but to walk in the first day and be chased down by zombies and vomiting up [fake] blood in front of idols like RuPaul and Elvira was out of this world. I can sincerely say that was one of the most bizarre and best days of my life.

Fenuxe: What traits helped you win the crown?Sharon: It’s simple. Drag was always meant to be the celebrity of every city’s gay culture. Drag queens are the clowns in a world full of hate and oppression. I think I just reminded people that drag is fun. Drag makes you make a fool of yourself on stage to entertain your friends and community. It’s not something that was designed to polarize or even to be perfected. Drag is just a circus designed to entertain people in the middle of the night in a smoky bar after a couple of cocktails. I think I not only reminded RuPaul but America as well that drag is for fun.

Cosmetic Ear Surgery – Pin Back Your Ears

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 40 percent of the 29,434 cosmetic ear surgeries were performed on males. What is this procedure and why is it so popular with the male gender? this surgery, formally known as otoplasty, is a treatment that reshapes, reduces, or pins back the ears for a more normal and aesthetically pleasing look.

It is very popular with men for two main reasons, one genetic and one sports related. First, even though both girls and both can inherit large, protruding ears from their parents, girls often have a much easier time hiding them with socially-acceptable long hair.

It is not always so easy for boys. Their large ears are out there for all to see and tease. and they are often the brunt of playground jokes because of that dominant feature. Years of those kind of jabs can be hard on a young boy, making it harder to gain self-confidence in his appearance and by extension in other areas of his life.

If parents are compassion and have the means to do so, they will often opt to have their boys undergo otoplasty in their young years to avoid all the taunting and name-calling. When this does not happen, some large-eared boys grow into men who are willing to pay the cost themselves to get the normal ones they always longed for.

Otoplasty is especially effective at creating a more pleasing shape that will remove self-consciousness about body parts protruding from the side of the face. Ear pinning can be done to pull them back towards the head by making an incision behind it, removing skin and pulling the remaining skin tight to pin them tighter to the head. If they are just too large, otoplasty can also help as the cosmetic surgeon can go in and shave down the cartilage to create a more proportional look.

The other main reason that men turn to otoplasty is to correct the presence of cauliflower shaped ones. this is a condition of permanently damaged and swollen ones, with a resemblance to the cauliflower vegetable. this is most often the result of repeated blows to the auditory organs that come with the territory in many sports. Rugby, wrestling, mixed martial arts and boxing.

When your auditory organ is hit hard, blood clots can sometimes form under the outer skin, blocking blood flow to the cartilage. this causes the cartilage to die off and tissue swells inside the skin, creating unsightly, deformed ones.

This surgery can help in reducing the swelling by helping to drain the clotted blood from your auditory organ. A plastic surgeon will make an incision, drain out the excess fluids, and then reshape it with the use of compression bandages and stitches where needed. Whether men have this surgery to correct genetic deformities or sports-inflicted injuries, the procedure is very safe and quick.

It only takes about two hours or less to complete and there are very few serious risks associated with it. Although patients will have to wear bandages around their head for several days, the results will actually be apparent immediately, a benefit not usually associated with most other cosmetic surgeries. and even better-the results are permanent With all these benefits, it is no wonder that otoplasty is a big favorite among men these days.

Cosmetic Ear Surgery Available for Children

For many of us Dumbo is an early childhood favorite. A delightful tale with engaging characters and songs, it teaches the value of a mother’s love and care, the value of friendship, and the value of self-confidence. Unfortunately, that self-confidence can be hard to maintain if a child is unfortunate enough to be born with large or protruding ears.

Because Dumbo is such an early favorite that children watch with indulgent grandparents on lazy Sunday afternoons, it becomes a powerful model of behavior, and, unfortunately, not all children are taught to model themselves after the best characters in the movie. some children become like the teasing boys or snooty elephant matrons who tease Dumbo mercilessly. if your child has large or protruding ears, they can be subject to teasing at a very young age, at preschool or in kindergarten, beyond the eye or control of teachers and caregivers.

Ear Pinning available as early as Age 4

Otoplasty, or ear pinning, is the only cosmetic surgery regularly performed on children. This is because the ears are a special case. Unlike most of our bodies, our ears have achieved close to their full size and shape by age 4. This makes them ideal sites for early intervention on the part of a skilled and sensitive plastic surgeon.

Much of children’s bodies are constantly changing. they grow right out of clothes and shoes. they lose their baby teeth to get adult teeth and even wisdom teeth. not to mention all the changes of puberty and beyond, so most cosmetic procedures are not recommended for children. On the other hand, our ears reach their full size and shape very early, which means they often stand out and could benefit from corrective surgery. not only this, but the cartilage in children’s ears is more easily shaped, making this a procedure that is best done at a young age.

Otoplasty is a safe and permanent solution

Otoplasty will not affect your child’s hearing because only surface-level changes are made on the ears. The surgery begins with an incision in the natural fold where the ear joins the head. The surgeon then may remove skin and cartilage to achieve the desired effect. At this time, the ear can also be reshaped as well. sometimes, it is not necessary to remove any tissue, but simply to move the ear and hold it in its new position with sutures until it heals permanently in place.

The child will have to wear bandages for a few days, and if he or she is a side-sleeper, there may be some disruption of sleeping for a week, but the surgery heals quickly and children are allowed to return to their normal activities as soon as they feel able. and when they return to their play, they will be happier without the teasing they had experienced. The scarring is very slight and well concealed in the natural fold behind the ear.

Because the ears have finished growing before the procedure is performed, the changes are for life and need never be redone. As the child grows and moves on to higher grades and new schools and finds new friends, the unpleasant memories of their early days will be forgotten, and you can watch them grow knowing that you have done your duty as a parent to make sure they are happy in their childhood.

Choose Your Surgeon Carefully

It is always crucial to make sure you feel fully comfortable with your plastic surgeon before beginning any procedure. Make sure to thoroughly question any prospective surgeons. however, it is especially important that you do this when the patient is a child. Select a doctor with whom you have good feelings, one who seems positive and upbeat about the surgery and its potential, one with experience, and, in this case, one with a strong notion of the value of family ties and family legacies.

And, of course, otoplasty can also be performed on adults, either by itself or in combination with other plastic surgery procedures.

Heidi Montag Plastic Surgery Disaster Details, Photos: Revealed (Again)!

LMAO. at this point, that’s about all we can muster when we see stories about Heidi Montag and her myriad plastic surgery debacles. What a joke.

Just to recap, the reality star underwent countless operations to become the human Barbie doll, all in the name of becoming/remaining a celebrity.

When that didn’t work out, the Hills got axed and she went broke, she began working the reverse angle … milking this “disaster” for sympathy!

There’s nothing new about this cover story. NOTHING.

Spare us next week, Life & Style. Every Heidi Montag plastic surgery story has already been done. Wow, she had botched implants? Who knew?! Shocker.

Seriously, revealing her scars? That’s the best you’ve got? We’ll jump at the chance to ridicule mr. and mrs. Spencer Pratt, but give us SOME material.

Also, nice tease for Prince William, Kate Middleton and “Why they Split.” Last we checked, they got engaged quite recently and remain happily so.

Great work, editors. Virtual pat on the back.
