DORAL, Fla. (WSVN) — Some audience members and an invited guest are describing a brawl that broke out during the taping of a local television show.
Corey Eubanks, one of the key figures arrested for botched plastic surgery enhancements allegedly made at home stepped forward Wednesday night with accusations he was attacked at the "Pa'lante con Cristina" show. His attorney has said a syringe was used as a weapon.
the topic of the show grabbed national headlines. Shakonda Brown was one of those who Eubanks is accused of injecting patients with cement, flat tire sealant and Super Glue to enhance their buttocks, while assisting O'Neal Ron Morris. both have been charged with practicing medicine without a license and face charges of leaving patients with life-threatening injuries as a result of the botched buttock enhancement procedures.
Brown said, "it escalated, something so big. my sister was there as well. it just got out of proportion. he knows what he did," she added about Eubanks. "He's denying what he did. he almost took my life. I have kids to live for. I have no remorse for Corey Eubanks…"
Eubanks and Brown were both invited guests to talk about underground plastic surgery. however neither one had known the other was also invited. about 15 minutes into taping, they saw each other and tensions apparently boiled over. "it was crazy," said Jesus Eserada who was in the audience. "they were outrageous. I don't know why it was like that. It's unreal what happened in there."
Eubanks' attorney, Jim Lewis, said Brown attacked his client. "I was sitting there talking to Cristina. the mother jumped out of the audience, came and grabbed the syringe and threw it in my face," said Corey Eubanks. "it hit me in my forehead.
Eubanks' lawyer is upset the attack happened in the first place. "we had been assured by the Cristina show that this would not happen, that there would be adequate security, and my client would not be in fear," said Lewis.
"No one attacked him," countered Brown. "it was a big brawl. it just got out of hand."
Police are reviewing that tape, and, right now, the Browns are not facing any charges.
